Description
This is my "Room Test" file, an old file I made just for testing Bryce. Last week I fired-up my Bryce again for fun and re-rendered it -- it took 5 minutes at premium render setting.
Now if Bryce used all of my CPU cores, it should have taken about 1 minute; if it used my GPU, it should have taken no more than 5 seconds.
So anyway, I played with it for a while, and found it difficult to build a new interior of a SF chamber, mainly because my old texture files would not load -- but instead of un-installing this outdated relic, I decided to keep it so I could at least render the zillions of my old models and manually incorporate them into new images, instead of leaving them to die and evaporate.

Cool play and so great Bryce is behaving for you and this room looks amazing, I won't be wearing shoes when I tippy toe through there....lol
Render times look awesome for this, now if only I could do that in Daz I would be a happy camper :)
Funny you should say that because I wish I could do your types of images in Bryce, but that's impossible -- even if I had access to all the well-textured models for my story, and posing capability:-(
Very nicely done indoor scene and the two pictures on the wall are amazing- I take it they are also Bryce renders.
Yes Horo, those are 2 of my Bryce renders from that same period in history when I was Brycing like a mad art-scientist.
Nice room. If you achieved a five minute render for a complex scene like this then you are doing great. A few of my renders lately have taken up to seventeen hours. Fortunately, most only take up to an hour.
It's a shame there is no further development of this software as it is the most intuitive I've encountered. It would be nice if the code were to be open-sourced so that the community could breath new life into this great programme.
I and other Brycers complained about this over a dozen years ago, and nothing was done, except some dumb excuse about copyrights and stuff. What kind of a moron would rather see their great creation Bryce be abandoned than be given eternal new life?
It's always good to try again, even once in a while, old stuff we have - including old programs. Most of my renders with Bryce took hours when I used it alas. But before toknow Wings3d it was the program where I modelized first. Your room feels like if it's the evening and call to rest peacefully inside for a moment
Cool !
This is BRYCE??? Holy Moly! I am seriously impressed! I played with it a long time ago, when I first got into 3D - long before I found Poser.
Fantastic work here!
Rod, I consider this image to be quite simplistic, actually -- I don't think it even qualifies as 'art' -- it's just collection of textured objects placed in a big box. Sure, for some scenes I might find Bryce helpful, but for my new images that I envision it's just not enough, so I have to resort to every other tool I can, including AI assistance. At this point the final product is what matters to me, not how I got it made.
I have the same mentality max. I don't care how I get there, its the quality and the final product that drives my vision.
I like your style of furniture but the3n I'm "old School." Beautiful scene.
I miss the Bryce era; it was a great 3D programme for that time. I still love it though. Artist like you give me the motivation to start the engine of Bryce and finish/render one of my many work that have never been uploaded to a gallery. Hope to conclude some and share them with this great art community. Fantastic room image, thank you for sharing it :)
