Description
Hi and thanks for dropping by :)
This is a straight render out of Daz, no post work although personally I think it needs a little play in that department but ultimately I just wanted to show with the wire frame so you can see the bloom setting I used and the assets. Not my usual thing but just wanted to share.
This is the exact setup I used for "Not on this ship", all I did was open the doors and create a BG so it did alter the lighting slightly for this render.
Hope you enjoyed your visit, peace :)

sci fi wonder. great atmo.
Thank you :)
Interesting. Looks like you have customized your interface to a more friendly feel:) And that bewildering set of esoteric adjustments made me roll my eyes when I played with it - lol. I may jump into DS again (using that DIM installer), but not until I get at least a 42 in monitor, and all the bugs get ironed out which many users seem to be complaining about.
Use the DIM for sure, if you can work that out...Daz doesn't make it easy. I am using Daz 4.23, some issues still but never be in a rush to upgrade Daz once you get it working...lol and a bigger monitor is a definite plus for sure.
Thanks for dropping by :)
Wonderful work!
Thank you :)
Super job, almost a photo.
Thank you :)
Amazingly beautiful! Stunning artwork!!! 👍🙋♂️
Thank you :)
excellent
Thank you :)
Useful "tut". Never played with bloom. Should try it some day.
I use it a lot but fickle to get right sometimes. Some great tuts on youtube and thanks for dropping by :)
Bloom is one of those inside DAZStudio filtering technique that can produce great result like these. THanks for showing the wireframe. well done.
A lot of internal tools within Daz and definitely worth playing with. Thank you :)
Fantastic Sci-Fi Pinup artwork
Thank you :)
Awesome 👍😊
Thank you :)
This pin-up image turned out so well with the use of the bloom effect in Daz. Every software application requires the need for an artist to know their application well and get comfortable with it before great images can be created.
My compliments to you for your ability to know your software so well that you are continuously creating amazing images with it. :-)
Daz seems to have a never ending learning curve which is great for me as I get bored easily...lol
Been using bloom for a few years now but moreso in the last 6 to 12 months, need to play with it for the right look but worth it in the long run.
Thank you :)
Stunning sci-fi pinup!
Thank you :)
Brilliant as usual!
making me blush here...lol Thank you :)
Hi, very nice scifi render :)
The background looks a bit harsh. Bloom is difficult to adjust because it affects the entire scene...
Greetings, Stormider75
I knew the bloom would be a little over the top in this but I posted this as a comparison piece for my render 'Not on this ship' from April 2025.
Both are the same scene, same settings only the camera angle has changed, the pose and I opened the doors to include a BG. I guess this was more for educational purposes to show the difference of a closed environment vs open environment and what the results look like without any post work what so ever, just straight renders from Daz.
I actually use bloom in probably 80 to 90% of my works over the last 6 or more months, saves me heaps of time on post work and I like that a lot, being able to do it all in one program from start to finish :)
Thank for dropping by, much appreciated :)
Excellent work, and fascinating to have an insight into your process. In terms of postwork, i find the iray settings allow quite a lot of tweaking (gamma, vignetting etc) so that i seldom need to do more unless adding a 2d element or compositing elements that i've had to render seprarately. There's actually a tone of stuff in there... pixel radius and filter tweaks also offer some control over sharpness which I'm still trying to understand better... Its so frustrating that there isn't a tooltip in DAZ to tell you what all those siders actually do!
Daz has so many tweaks and after going through some tutorials from youtube, they are easy to work with, remembering them is the hard part for me but I do play with all the tweaks you mention and the time it saves in post work is huge. Everything I have learnt regarding Daz is all from youtube and there are some very dedicated people there who only show how to and what are tips for Daz with practical demonstrations included.
I have never found Daz or the site very user friendly TBH but the software for the price is superb :)
Thanks for dropping by :)
Excellent image, and thank you for sharing your beautiful work.
Thanks for having a peek :)
Thank you and looking forward to seeing some new works from you when they get there that is, no pressure :)
Superb image! Colour, light and composition are excellent.
Thank you very much :)
Very nice work, love how you included a bit of behind the scenes there too :)
Thank you and just trying some Daz users that the built in features work so well if you have the patience to learn them :)
Very cool image, nice bloom effect and terrific background. Wonderful work!
Thank you, was really a show and tell with single Daz renders but I always try to make it entertaining :)
