could be! great find and interesting POV on this shot. the lighting brings out the details nicely.
Looks like erosion is setting in a bit. Nice looking day.
Interesting photo! I do not think that the erosion is from a glacier; usually a glacier leaves a "U" shape valley, and the striations will cross the strata. From a singla photo, it is difficult to reach a defenitive conclusion.
Nice one mate! Whatever caused it....nature is amazing IMHO.................
Fantastic country - cool capture!!!
Hey! You got a picture of my back yard! LOL! No, not really! Although it might have looked something like that 80 years ago! Wonderful capture, Richard! Clear focus, wonderful lighting and splendidly framed! What more could you ask for?
Excellent
Beautiful shot.
superb captured, looks like wash out rock - by glacier or water...
I like this wild landscape, great capture!
It is very good!
Beautiful capture, I like it
Nice capture.
Fantastic view!
Great view, beautiful capture !!
Nice shot!
wow, nice work! I like the cropping of this.
Shining work.
superbe photo!!
I don't think it's from a glacier, but it's cool to look at.
I think marcPoser is correct - it's more likely from wind and/or water. Looks like a small creek bed to the left, so flash floods combined with wind over the centuries are probably the cause.
Great shot of this scenic and interesting landscape.
I agree with those who believe the striations are caused by wind and water...nice capture though...
Super image!!!
great phc
The "striations" are very likely differential weathering of the surfaces of sedimentary rock layers that are inclined downward to the upper left of the photo. This looks like arid country where wind and water probably contribute to the weathering. Nice collection of flora. Looks like sage in the foreground. This photo evokes my memory of the pervasive smell of it in places I've traveled. Thanks for the image and the memory.
