Description

During my break from RR, I did some things that I had not done in many years. My last round of golf had to be 55 years ago. It was fun but the best part was watching the old timers at the 11th hole. As is the way of life in south Florida, there was an eight foot alligator, in the water hazard, on the approach to the 11th hole. I left my golf ball in the water but those old timers went all out to retrieve their wet golf balls. Trust me, it was not worth the cost of a golf ball. Yes, I know that I am posting another alligator photo but they seem to be everywhere. I like the reflection. Worth a zoom. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Oh, I hate it when water gets in the way of my alligator! Well...okay...maybe not. Gator shots are fun and this is a big 'un! I'd definitely recognize this one as both a water hazard and an unexpected companion on a golf course. What a shot! It looks as if you were closer than might be comfortable. Well seen and captured.

Never seen a gator with a smile so placid. He could work selling used cars ;) The reflection is excellent. Here the most dangerous thing I can find close to where I live is a possum, or daily drivers. Is an excellent capture, Dana.

Great Scott! Amazing. There are definite advantages to living this far North. But golf is still 'a good walk spoiled' as Oscar Wilde said.

That's a great gator shot! Did you get any golfing geezer gator shots? I'd say that qualifies as a hazard all right. Wondering if the claw marks were made while catching the last geezer.

Next time give it a whack with a 5 iron then run, when it gives up chasing you circle round and retrieve your ball.

Did he have one eye? Reminds me very much of a funny movie see periodically. I think I'd just move on myself, clearly he thinks this is his water hazard!

Nice to see you back, Dana. Definitely a fun shot. I think if I hit a ball into the hazard, I'd just take the penalty and a drop.
