Hello, and thank you for taking the time to view my work. And an even bigger thanks to those who take the time to comment. I deeply appreciate the feedback. This is another of the promo images for my upcoming Essential Materials 01: P9+. I'll probably post some images from the P7+ version soon. The P9+ version does use Poser's SSS, as well as several other features added to Poser 9. This scene features Marble (the bench, parts of the table), Marble Tile (the floor), Reflective (the chair), Pearl (the table's top), Nylon (the drape on the chair), and Plain (the draped chaise, the walls, and probably some other stuff), Cloth (the tunics), and Metal (the tunic lining). These materials are really letting me go to town with both simple freebies and older content. It's great to finally use some of my vast library, as well as to get to use freebies without a lot of effort. Though I should probably have made a displacement map for the tunics and their lining. Next time, I guess. This scene was my first use of the lovely Antonia Polygon WM, found at RDNA. If you notice, the main one is in a fairly similar pose to the previous image using Vicky. I was mainly setting up the materials, so I didn't want to spend a lot of time on posing. And, amazingly, I didn't. She was not only a joy to work with, I got everything but her hair _free_. I didn't touch the skin shader (by RobynsVeil), and it came out absolutely perfectly. Getting V4 into her pose was unpleasant. The second Antonia is actually pretty precisely posed. The main difficulty with that pose was actually due to the scene and a lesson to me as I begin to make my own scenes. The pillows and the bench are all one piece, making it difficult to get her in a natural pose that still accomodated the pillows. Both Antonia's feature a very tentative custom morph I made. I know a lot of people have talked about her resolution being a hindrance to morphing, but my only problem was my complete lack of skills and foolish decision not to use any references and just wing it. I actually found that her nose, lips and ear were nicely detailed in contrast to my experiences with V4. Better morph artists than I have hit her limits in terms of resolution, but I'm far from there yet. Hopefully, by then I'll be good enough to use displacement to make up the difference. The only postwork I did was some light touching up on the foreground hair (Amaltheia Hair worked really well for me), some fun painting on the background hair, and fixing some odd gaps in the scenery due to some parts not being moveable even though you could select them (no clue why). I actually used the open source MyPaint on the hair in this image as well as the last one. It's not as good at fine work as Photoshop, let alone Painter (fails the 1px line test), but it's actually a really neat program overall. Very streamlined for painting and comes with a bunch of different types of brushes. I'd love to know more about the rendering of ths scene. Was it done entirely in Poser? What lighting setup was used? You mentioned Poser SSS, and I see the skin on these figures looks realistic to where I could imagine you used a custom skin shader here. Also, was GI used? Does Poser support GI and HDRI now? Fill me in, because this render looks excellent in the details and the lighting looks high end. How was render time here?

Ha, I was just thinking, "Wow, she looks lovely." This is the first use of Antonia I've seen outside of promo images. Haven't installed her yet (still using V3/M3), but I might have to give her a try. Great scene and excellent materials again. And again I'm drawn to little details like the little reflection on the marble tile floor and the gold on the tunic, and blonde Antonia shading her face from the (correctly placed!) light. My only scene crit is that the centrally-placed draped couch makes brunette Antonia seem somewhat... oddly-placed? Otherwise i love the composition. I know what you mean about finding new uses for older content these days. It's a great feeling, isn't it!

This is one of those images where you can't really appreciate it unless you click-and-expand to full size. Then, the materials literally JUMP out at you! The clothing, the draping cloths, the walls, the floor, the water (oh, YES, this is one of your crowning achievements, that water!) - it all says "touch me". And the look on Antonia's face? What am imp! I love it! So, this is your morph? Well done, KobaltKween - I like! Your lighting has a strong afternoon mood - well, to me it does, anyway - that just gives this scene that indolence and self-indulgence the characters appear to be enjoying. Very nice work, indeed!

Oh! I have to admit, the water isn't mine. The background is a sort of painted/photo background that's a piece of the Summer Siesta set. I would chance the water, but I'm awful with outdoor scenery and things like that rocky shore in the distance and the sky that would have to be overhead. Also, I'm saving leaves and petals for set two of Essential Materials.

I love this image--the first thing I though was what a wonderful mood, even before I zoomed in to admire the textures. It's a lovely piece of art and a delightful thing to see when it is 30 degrees outside;) Antonia is very appealing, I especially like her beautiful hands and somehow she looks more "real" to me than V4 does, her facial proportions seem more natural and the way her body moves and poses is more like a real person. And her expression is so "I'm here and I'm lovin' it!" ;)
