UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Lovely shot, Bill - it definitely looks tropical and wet! Lovely colors, too! Wow - that sounds a little too hot, but I'd be happy to send him a bit of this snow to cool things down a bit, down under!

Such gorgeous moss, and the light is wonderful! An excellent image ... I'm sure it will keep Tunde cool during the heat wave she's enduring! :)

A wonderful capture of this moss and it looks so cool to me too. We are having 37 C today just out of the blue so we are all melting. It will probably rain tomorrow.

Oh this is lovely. I love moss and I even like it better when soaked up with water and gentle dripping. Such great shot and thx for the thoughts. Looks like working because we have a fresh rain what helped to dropp a temperature by 10 C what is realy good. Only 32 now I am happy with that...lol.

Oh, my! Moss! It looked like a turtle to me, until I put on my glasses. Now it looks like a moss covered turtle. Strange how the mind wants to cling to its first assumption. As for 111 degrees Farenheit, very uncomfortable if it's humid. I've been in such, but also in 145 degrees (Oaji Valley, California) dry heat. Now that's dangerous - you don't notice how much water and salt you loose. And while the folks in New South Wales are sweltering, the folks in Queensland are having floods and cyclones. Beautiful photo - the subtle greens against the out of focus reds are great. Keep up the good work! :-)
