Description

OK - Let me explain.......... Because this NEEDS explained! When I posted my butterfly photo last night, I did so as kind of a combination of an update and celebration. I was celebrating because I thought I had my internet issues all worked out. There I go thinking again. Tonight's post is a semi-artistic, and largely bizarre representation of my mental state after coming home after a long day, and discovering my internet was once again non-existant. Another session with AT&T's tech support resulted in confirmation that the DSL modem was working correctly, but the router was not letting my home network access the modem. I have a Linksys wireless router, and this model is supposed to be one of their best. Their tech support is also supposed to be one of the best. I've had somewhere around 10 - 12 instances where I've tried to accomplish something with Linksys' tech support. Once with a wirelss IP camera (that I ended up returning twice because it never would work), and also with this router. In my humble opinion, Linksys' tech support would have to improve by 1000% to qualify as pathetic. But I digress..... At the moment, I have limited internet access - limited to one computer plugged directly into the modem rather than any/all of the 4 computers in my home network. As Rene pointed out, there are devices combining the modem with a wireless router all in one box. I just ordered one, and it should arrive in a couple days. Then MAYBE things will return to some semblance of normal around here. And of course, 'normal' is a relative term.... So..... the picture..... This is a combination of a photo of a sunset, a Mandelbub render, and an old (really, really old) photo of some clown wearing a nazi helmet, a goofy wig, Harry Potter glasses, a hippie-esq necklace, an iron cross necklace, a whacked-out T-shirt, rubber pants (don't ask...), and waving a lever-action rifle around. And this was before Spacko-World was ever concieved. Yes - this was back in the 60s - just like a bad LSD trip.... So who is this clown? Three guesses... Hope you'll all bear with me - I'm so far behind on comments, it's going to take me 'till 2012 to get caught up. But I'm trying! LOL! I'm hoping to get my TNA gals back in action as soon as all this insanity finally subsides! Hope you all have a great evening, and thanks for all your support!

so you use to dress yourself up funny huh? LOL... I think rendo aught to have us all post a picture of ourselves in our wildest outfit - lol... I use to wear bellbottems way into the 70s and early 80s... I had a pair that got ripped up so my Mother sewed leather stitches around them... I think she purposely made them look weird so she could throw them away, but the weirder, the better - lol ... to top that off, my hair never grew past my shoulders it just grew straight out - so I looked like i had and afro... my Mom saw me in the back yard one day with a half shirt on, a tie, my bell bottoms - and a big yellow rake that I was playing air guitar on - she snapped that shot - it was so cool - lol... but, I've hidden deep, deep in my filing system to where no one will ever see it again, well, until I find it - lol

before i went down to read, having only a glimpse at the graphic art i was standing up to walk for a coffee menawhile i clicked (automatism on pc junkies hands even when no pc around watch their hands they dont grab ass but grab mouse looool) anyway back to the theme i was standing up and loked slightly from above and i saw janis joplin really ,maybe i should quit smoking pot that early in the morning "nuff" said. about the router and modem. apparently there are modems and routers where the "wave"dont works out, they just simply dont like each other which sounds strange to maybe some people but thats the way it is.and as is,not even 2 pcs with eaxactly the same components exactly the same configuration and manufacterd in the same facility on the same shift are not reacting the same way. after all maybe they are a bit human.how about that. any help needed to configure let me know, but you had it before so it should not be a problem for you rod. anyway i have also 4pcs hooked up on the same router so if you encounter problems just sm me. i try never to get involved with technical departments for service, because on the phone i am able to loose completely my marbles in case the other side does not understands what i want. had the same thing with a hdd failure erly this year the hdd was dead i tested all. in the morning i went to the shop it came form and told the guy it was dead. he insisted in verifying himself which cost the asshole 3 of his own hours instead of believeing me whan i say dead i mean dead. and then he had to replace it on guarantee which took 4 months, meanwhile i bought a bigger one .in another shop of course!!!!have the replaced one as spare now.

And for a tech guy this must all be especially maddening. I have had similar experience with D-Link wireless router. They must pay people to write good reviews about their service dept because I have had miserable experience from installing both my routers. So I hear you.

ROFLMAO!!!!! OK where to start??? First, you can borrow my pistol if you like to do to your internet equipment what I'm still considering doing to my old computer. "Rubber pants"???? I know you said don't ask but I have to ask. I guess this is the image they had in mind when they coined the phrase rebel without a clue, LOL. This is hilarious, I think I'll make this my new desk top. On the other hand if this was the worst of my old photos I'd be doing pretty good.
