To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens meĆĀ to no endĆĀ to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!

I like this pic! Very well done!
lol cool image and idea I think he would like this if he were still around, well done Mina ;)
Interesting article! Nice pic as well. I think Rembrandt might have laughed a lot(although it must be difficult to paint yourself laughing).
Very great and interesting piece of artwork just love it....excellent work.

Excellent work, Mina! Awesome composition, a perfect job!
Mina fantastic work! as always:) big hugs Angel
Incredible and Awesome Mina !!! I love this ! fav
So creative and interesting and has a Rembrandt feel. CC
Rembrandt was a really lousey draftsman when he first sketched. Elton John has the sketches. It amuses me to read some of the criticism here and elsewhere. Now that John Updike and his sentimental journey has ended I can misquote Star Wars.
Great image! It would be interesting to see what the masters would do now if they had these tools to create their art - Would they be recognised as the artists they are now known as?
Fantastic composition and image! Wonderful work :)
Brilliant composition, Sugar plumzkie. One of the best i've seen in a long time. Love the grunchy interpretation, and enviroment... very suitable. Wonderful craftsmanship. Portraying of a grand master painter, from the golden age. Laughing his BEEEP away.. that's great... I think Rembrandt try to tell humans, and especially artists, something... Remember to laugh... and DON'T take yourselves too seriously. #;oD That must be his message..and yours, maybe #:o) Pretty amazing story... seems his self portrait was sold for 4.5 mill dollars. But considered to be worth 30-40 million dollars.. some dirty art dealer, is rubbing his dirty hands for sure..#;oD Maybe you can sell this fine piece for 30 million dollars too...#:o)
Awesome!! Your color scheme adds a nice Rembrandt-ness as well! Great work Mina!
superb!
Thanks for the link - fascinating story! I love what you've done with him. Sometimes I wonder what the old masters would think of where art has gone since their time!
