This is an entry for the April challenge of the Vue forum. The blood is procedual. I hope the scene is realistic enough for this months challenge. Please post critcs. Yours, Bernie

this is very good, bernie! it looks very painful. the blood on the sword should probably not have a bump map, it should be smooth on the metal. he might need a tighter grip on the sword to break it on that rock, or if he is letting go after breaking it, the tip end should have fallen down more.

Dear bloodsong, yes you are right with the grip and the tip. The blood on the sword is already a thick crust after all these bloodshed and wars, this is the reason why I underlay a bump map.

My only comment is anyone that bloody fought a hell of a war and got very dirty in the process - there is no dirt on his skin - just blood. The skin looks too clean where there is no blood. Just a light procedural dirt map would help along with the blood. The blood looks great - just add some grime.
