Description
This is something I am doing as a request for someone... sort of a Warcraft elf thing, lol.
I am not really happy with the way this is going and I have spent way too much time spinning my wheels on this so I am looking for direction on composition, costume, things to add, things to take away, general critique, anything little thing would help and I would so appreciate it.

A bit of shadow might help overall... The bra and panties also look almost painted on, so a little (AO) shadow around the edges might make them stand out a little more... Other than that it looks very good to me. The contrast between the character and the decor is excellent, the image is crisp and vivid... Lovely...

As always when creating any piece of artwork is knowing when to stop. I have seen many an artist especially novice painters who do very well initially and then ruin a good picture by over working the details ruining what they had achieved. I think you have achieved a striking image with a lovely strong character and outfit. The composition is fine with character neatly placed along a strong point and angling of the camera aids in this. Excellent work all round!!!

I feel silly giving you advice also lol Can you tell me how you get the skin so nice instead? :) I think the angle you gave it makes it look as if the wall is falling and she's holding it, rather than the wall is holding her. Other than that, she looks stunning and I really love her costume! It all looks fabulous!

The only thing I can offer is you should either get glasses, or have your head examined. "Not happy with where its going, spinning your wheels, need direction" ??!!?? This image is nothing short of amazing. Your costumes are by far the most impressive I have seen in any artwork. This has captured the Blood Elf look perfectly, and is sexy as all get out to boot. The pose is perfect, skin tone is perfect, it's all perfect. And the mood of the image makes you wonder whats going on with her. Sorry man, wish I could help with direction but I love this just the way it is. Amazing work as always!!!!!!

I think you're doing a decent job on the armor John. But as a WoW fanatic...this just doesn't seem to suit the Bloodelf. I do agree that I think the setting is off....Blood elves are also very vain. While the image is pretty...it just really doesn't convey anything...especially when it comes to a Bloodelf. Just my honest opinon. I think she needs some attitude in her pose...remember this is a gaming character who goes around slaughtering things while still trying to look good. :) shrugs oh well. I could go on and on.

Stunning image...I would, as mentioned by another artist, rethink where she is or the pose. I am a lighting nut and might playa little with some variations of lights. Love the rich detail...will watch for what you do with this image. ~Lady~

In my opinion, if you took everyone's advice... the image you created would cease to exist! Technically, your image is excellent. I love the contrasting designs and colors too. This image is an expression of your artistry and your creative decisions. Superb work.

This is really an amazing image! My little critique would be to shorten her headband, and use DOF with a more golden/rich background. Also, ask yourself exactly what she is supposed to be doing/feeling right now. As some other people have noted, her pose is a little bit confused, and doesn't effectively convey the mood you are going for.
