Description

Ichor : Noun 1. Classical Mythology... an ethereal fluid flowing in the veins of the gods. 2. Pathology... an acrid, watery discharge, as from an ulcer or wound.color> Good Morning Boyz n Gurlz :o) Now, how's this for a lovely little Monday morning presentation...I know, I know, it's pretty beeezar, and most of you are probably wondering "what the (blankety blank)" is she thinking :o) ...sooo, ya scared yet ? well, just wait, you will be lol The title for this comes from a short story titled Love's Eldritch Ichor by Esther M. Friesner click here This story was included in the Cthulhu Mythos 2000 Anthology. A Cthulhu Mythos Anthology is a type of short story collection that contains stories written in or related to the Cthulhu Mythos genre of horror fiction launched by H. P. Lovecraft, who btw is my favorite author. Such anthologies have helped to define and popularize the genre. Also, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the word eldritch, it was one of ol' H.P's favorite words. Eldritch: Adjective Strange or unearthly; eerie. color> For more info on Lovecraft, please click here: click here And if there's any die-hard Lovecraft fans out there, and I'm sure there are, if you'd like to read something reallyreally funny about Cthulhu written by the illustrious fantasy writer, Neil Gaiman, drop me an IM and I'll send it to ya ! Ok, after feeding your heads with all that, I do hope you all, in some strange way, enjoy my little presentation and divine the subtle underlying meaning.....but ...the artistic meaning expressed here does not necesarily reflect the true feelings of the creator...just a little disclaimer :o) Ok, I think I've rattled on quite enough for now....y'all have a good one ! And a great big thanks to all who favorited Samsara....made it to the Charts ! ~ Love & Hugs ~ * Mina *color> Brush Credits: http://www.brushes.500ml.org

Great overtones in this image Mina, although I do not think I have had enough Java to dive into Lovecraft this morning. ;) Thanks for providing the links and this image gives much room for thought. Are we ruled by fates, gods and hungers? Excellent! And hey, congrats on the making the charts. Nice to see abstracts there :) Hugs

I used to read a lot of Lovecraft in my teens.....then progressed to horror films like Hellbound and Hellraiser type movies and completed the cycle with Stephen King.......I love your freeform approach to art...very refreshing Mina ....your perception of my last title was correct so it was okay to giggle....LOL

A dark and intriguing image. I'm not a horror fiction fan, it scares me too much and I already have enough darkness in my own thoughts.:o) CC
