Description

A friend and I did a whirlwind tour round four castles in Northumberland on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The first castle we visited (and the only on we actually went inside) was Alnwick Castle. We were presented with a program of events happening at the castle, and I noticed "Birds of Prey Flying" at 13:15. So here is my first photo from the castles of Northumberland. Some touchup was done to remove a spectators cap from the bottom right corner. You can see the cap in the thumbnail. I hate having to catogorise my photos as one thing or the other, and was undecided if this should go in "Animals" or "People", but I think the real center of attention is the boy's face, and as humans outnumber animals in this pic by two to one, that clinched it and "People" won.

What lovely details you have captured here on this beautiful bird of prey. I especially love the expression on the boy's face - priceless! Excellent capture. xx
