Description
Composed by 50 objects, it counts 143.000 polygons with 33 textures. Background trees are textured planes with clipmaps; the grass is the result of some maps plus SasLite; the water is a plane textured with a Crumple procedural coverted to normal map with the Denis Pontonnier's node "Bump2Normal". Chair's cushions use the "Kappa" shader avaible between SSS nodes in LightWave v9.
The camera is a Tilt-Shift Camera; illumination is given by an Area Light (the sun) with 2 clones, one for having more control on specular reflections, one is a Spot Light for SasLite (it supports only Spot Lights). The final render, calculated by LightWave v9 render engine, uses MonteCarlo Radiosity.

I think the realism in this image is superb. Great picture.
at first i thought like, ok -- so he took a photo and placed some chairs and a table on the porch.. but after a few seconds i realized that the entire image, even the trees was 3D .. excellent work! :)
I did the same double-take as beyondMyth: thought it was a composite. Well done!
Thank you! It's all 3D, except for those little elements you can see in the background.. far far away.
Excellent work. The only noticeable giveaway in the midground is the segmentation at the edge of the water. Other than that tiny point, this looks wonderful.
