Kiera asked for some critical feedback, so don't boil me in oil please... This is a cute image, and a nice composition, but the lighting over the figures is pretty out of keeping with the background. It's almost like the environment is an overcast/stormy day, but the characters are under a bright spotlight, it's a bit jarring. The sky up at the top of the image is very dark - where's all that sun coming from? :) I can see why you did it, because otherwise the characters would be too dimly lit, but you might want to lighten up the background somewhat via postwork or if it's a background you might blend in some light. The cat is perfect, just a happy cat. The girl's pose is cute, but it seems a little off-balance, she seems to be leaning back too far to keep upright. Good job on the hair, the gravity pulls it just right.
