Subject: How to express? - The hard live of a penguin

Hi, im modelling facial expressions for my penguin and could need some help. As i figured out with a character like this, most of the expressions should be done with the eyes, cause this guy will not be able to speak and changes of mood must be cleared pantomimic. What im looking for is a kind of reference or tutorial with pictures of facial expressions. I think comic artists must have such material or literature. Does anybody knows a link or website to that topic? Would be greate if somebody could help me. Anyway what do you think of him? I spend quite a while working on that penguin and could need some feedback. Thanks

Oh wow! I love him, and I think his expressions are great...the only one I think is a little off is anger..sorry but I just can't put my finger on how exactly...but other than that he's great!!!!!!!!

Having a mirror besides yourself is very handy. I haven't seen any websites but two good books on cartoon animation are Cartoon Animation and How to animate film cartoons by Preston J. Blair.

anger could use wider open eyes and a head moved slightly forward, an aggressive posture. "sceptic" is spelled "Skeptic" one is a commode, the other is thoughtful disbelief. though come to think of it, sometimes we are sketic when on the sceptic. LOL, great job. Hope to see it available soon.

I think this little guy is just great, and the expressions are really quite good. And btw in the UK Sceptic is spelled sceptic.

The greatest part of wisdom is learning to develop  the ineffable genius of extracting the "neither here nor there" out of any situation...."

My partner reckons that the one for hesitate looks more like " oh whoops I've just dropped the egg, how am I going to tell the missus"
