Subject: large parts separation

large item with many separate parts, I would move these separated parts so I can make STL files of them for 3D printing.

I meant how to separate the parts and export them as STL files. When I do this, the whole unit exports.

OK to separate part here is a tutorial with what I would consider best practice for separating part then I I also would recommend watching the second video which is about using the included add on with Blender the 3D print toolbox which will further help you prepare your model for 3d Printing
