Subject: L'Homme 1 frustrations

So I'm at my wits end.  Every time I think I'm ready to submit my update for Jon for LH I keep running into issues with a conformer.  I'm either going to just give up or give up on the conformer.  It's a pubic hair conformer.  It reacts fine with MOST of the morphs for Jon for LH but the Built morph the fooking thing keeps exploding.  I'm not sure what to think of that.  I even took the time to redo the entire full body morph and it seemed to work and then when I reloaded the conformer and dialed up the morph on LH, explosion all over again like all my work was for naught.

The other morphs, the Jon morph and the full body morph (with little bits of the built morph added in) all play very well with this conformer but yea, the more muscular morph just won't give me any joy.

I was so excited for this update as it makes Joh more realistic and handsome and gives these little bits of realism with the conformers (short fro, eyebrows, facial scruff and the pubic hair but I don't want to delete the Built morph, it really adds to his over all look and gives the end user a nice fit looking male to dress up or play superhero with and for nudes using this character the body looks good esp for those close ups and that's where pubic hair would be a nice added bit of realism.

I just don't know how to wrangle this and I'm at my wits end.

Does anyone have any experience with this that can clue me in or should I just forego the conformer or put a note in the ReadMe?  I highly doubt it will pass as the testers would want to see everything working as it should and right not that's not happening!

So it "exploded" when you conformed it?  I've had a similar problem with some conforming clothing.  With it conformed to LH1 and exploded try copying the joint zones from LH1 and see what happens  (Figure drop down, "Copy joint zones from...").  That usually fixes exploded clothing for me... =\

Hope it works out! =)

Thanks for the reply.  Did that but didn't fix it.  I'm not sure why it's happening with just this one morph but it is.  😭

Well, dang!  I hope someone else has an idea because it sounds like a cool piece of content.  Always looking for stuff for my guys as there is so little for them. =(

P.S. One other thought... you can experiment a bit with the check boxes for "match end points", "follow origins" and "Include translations" under the "Properties" tab.  I find that sometimes they mess with things properly conforming.  I am unburdened with a clue as to why this would be the case.  >.<

Something interesting happened.  I changed the rigging from Unimesh to Traditional and it's no longer happening.  That's just so weird.  Wish I could tag Charles Taylor to this thread so I could get some of his feedback, esp on this new finding!

Yikes!  Thanks for sharing that.  One more thing to try when conforming mesh isn't behaving! =)

Yea, checked in with some other content creators and one guy said this:

"Switching to traditional Poser rigging is a cure for (too) many ailments."

I would love to hear what the development team thinks about this.  On the one hand, using umimesh solves some texturing issues and gives us subdivision.  On the other hand....  =(

I think for things like Fibermesh hair that doesn't really need to be subdivided it's fine.

If it goes well I'll create a sub pack for L'Homme 2 with morphs, updates to the conformers and new eyes, brows and eyelashes for like 10 bucks so folks can make use of the maps that  work fine on the 2nd generation.
