well, I thought I would just do a quick Star Trek render but then felt it was lacking in the hairstyle department, so I looked for Mylochka's freebies. 

And I found nothing. 

And when people mention Renderhub, the fraction that is still hosted there cannot compare at all. Now, I gathered that there had been a movement to 

download and re-host a lot of the material but not much has been seen of that since. In fact, even now the vast majority of links on Miraheze are broken

So, where do we find artists and content creators like Mylochka?

This is what I found on a quick search.

Indeed, the Deviantart profiles have been around for a while now and simply link to ShareCG. 

There are few who came here, like spacebones, to share what they had before. But the fact is that many will never again share their freebies, either they don't wish another place, or they are gone themselves since a long time.

There are 2 or 3 freebies from Mylochka well installed directly on DA, but that's all. You can see few of them still online by there:

Yet, I think that concerning the links to Sharecg, not only Miraheze but Renderosity oldies should be checked. Alas, it's taking a lot of time, I know that by experience.

To me, the loss of the Sharecg was devastating and it seems irreparable. Glad that one or two of Mylochka's works have survived.

I had all my stuff up there. I'm not sure yet what to do with it. Putting it up here you have to wait for approval and can only do 3 in 24 hours so I'm still trying to work out what to do with the older items. 

I have been thinking about setting up a website which I have done previously or even expanding my WordPress blog to include links to something like dropbox or google drive but I'm not sure if that would work out. 

So I'm still mulling it over while I get used to playing with 3D again.

I always was posting most of my things here as well as ShareCG but since they closed, I relisted everything at RenderHub where they have a more permissive set of rules/allow adult content so I have some spicier stuff listed there.

You might consider RenderHub as an alternative/backup host, they don't have any such throttle or QC check.

I'm not very keen on RenderHub...You're right that they're more permissive and I've seen a few things there that I thought encouraged pics of children in sexualised poses. I know that it's not all stuff there but it's put me off the site.

I want something like ShareCG was originally. Sort of like a Nexus for DS and Poser/3D.

I might just have to bite the bullet and go back to having a website like I have in the past.

To be fair, I have not taken to Renderhub so far because quite frankly, in terms of scale there isn't even a fraction of ShareCG worth speaking of. Those artists who make use of Renderhub and generously host their materials, would never dream of comparing one resource with the other. 

"Scale" is I think the word to mention because it is this that is proving staggering above all else in the loss of ShareCG. The site was immense in terms of what was on offer and whilst different download initiatives are mentioned, it is the results of those, that we have yet to see. After all, it is only then that we can genuinely assess what has been lost in this issue of digital transience. It affects both Daz users and Poser users and is quite vast. 

And example would be DieTrying's Morph collections for a number of Figures that were almost considered obligatory or the immense range of poses for differing figures provided by JustAKnight and others. 

It really is all very big. 

I would agree. It's a huge loss.
