Daz Studio Forum: "County Picnic Daydream"


Welcome to the Daz Forum picnic challenge. In this challenge, create a picnic scene with a storytelling vibe—maybe a couple sharing a watermelon, kids playing tag, or a lone farmer resting with his dog. Country details like a rusty tractor or a dirt path to seal the deal. Think about a soft, summery lighting setup. Tell us which 3D software you used. It is not required to stick with Daz or Poser - you can use any 3D editing software you like. Limited use of A.I. and public domain stock is permitted for background or lighting and color correction.


Staff is permitted to enter, but will not be eligible for prizes. Staff must Clearly state if an entry is staff to avoid confusion for the judges.

It wasn't a good idea for the 3 brothers to take one of their newest inventions for a picnic in the middle of nowhere!

Omg, yesterday I found the newsletter about the summer-picnic and made a short stop. These two happy squirrels just found the right spot for this event...

Usually I would say there´s no postwork in this picture, but this time I had to render it three times: One with all the high detailed surroundings, the treestums and the picnictable, and two for the furry critters that came by. This was done in DAZ3D, using Iray. Overlapping was done in PSE11 - only reason for this big amount of renders was the weakness of my render-PC 😉

My entry is a quiet picnic by the sea.  This couple have managed to find a table with no crowd around.  There's an adage that goes, "red sky at night, Sailor's delight," meaning that if the sky is red at dusk, the weather will be pleasant for the next several hours.  The water is calm behind them with a regular rhythm of waves washing gently ashore.  

"A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou."

Not sure who caught who here, they sure do look like they're enjoying each-other's company.
