That's what I would have thought, yet somehow Microsoft was trying to tell me I could do it from within Windows. Makes sense that is didn't make sense, doesn't it? :-)Enabling an inactive TPM 2.0 requires going into your system's BIOS and switching it on. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials outlining the procedure.

The confusing issue is that Microsoft is not encouraging upgrading non-compliant machines, although many users have done so, negating the need to discard a functional old computer for a new purchase. Yet, others will not abandon Windows 10, foregoing the risk of security incursion. But realistically, the other end-of-life systems have not seen an increase in hacking, according to statistics.
Mate, if you have decided to go Linux/Blender, you have decided to go. It sucks for the rest of us, but hey ho.
I would urge you to continue sharing some of your amazing work. Blender files can most certainly be useful and converted to Poser/Daz files for instance for dynamic clothes. Also some of us use Blender as one of our tools, so inspiration would be welcome.
I'd also love to see you continue your postings about your experiments. They are a joy to follow for the rest of us.
Shoudl you decide to move away from R'osity, blease leave some breadcrumbs for us to follow.
No worries, I'm not leaving R'osity any time soon. I'm also intending to keep sharing my work, although as you say it would be Blender files or possibly OBJs and PNGs instead of Poser-ready props. MarvelousDesigner has just announced a Linux version for the end of September, so it looks as though I'll be able to keep making clothes. Probably not for LF2, though. My plan is to start by rigging Antonia in Blender and figuring out how to get some hair on her (possible stealing some Poser hair until I learn how to make hair myself).

Quick update: I have now been running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS on my big computer for a few days, and so far I'm very happy with it. I have also tried out Poser 13 and the latest Marvelous Designer version under Wine, and while I haven't done extensive testing, so far they look fully functional with a few small GUI quirks on the Poser site, and of course no GPU support out of the box. It seems there are additional DLLs that might give me GPU functionality, but getting them installed looks fiddly and I'm not keen to do that, at least not at this point.
As for the native Linux version of MD, support told me that currently this is only available for enterprise clients. A bit disappointing, but I can understand that from a business point of view, this is what they want to focus on. If it works out for them, hopefully they'll make it available for private accounts later.
Anyway, long story short: if you are eager to get your hands on a garment I have shown here but not published, feel free to ask for it. I won't publish any more FreeStuff items, but I'm happy to share individual Poser-ready props, assuming Poser on Wine will let me, or else the raw .obj files.

One thing I wasn't able to do in Poser 13 is log into Renderosity. The login form just wasn't functional for me. But of course that's no show stopper, just a slight inconvenience. MD crashed on me a couple of times, but MD does that sometimes, especially brand-new versions, so it's not necessarily a Wine-specific problem.

The variable-length cocktail dress with the cutout was requested, so I've put the bare prop file up here: https://www.renderosity.com/filelocker/57390/download?key=9575. There are some instructions in the description. Also, here's a little "promo" image. Rendered with CPU only, so it may be a bit grainier than what I usually post.

Odf, I clicked on your link for the download files but all I got was a bunch of gobbledygook, no zip file(s) at all. Could you please fix it so I and others can download it? Thanks! The variable-length cocktail dress with the cutout was requested, so I've put the bare prop file up here: https://www.renderosity.com/filelocker/57390/download?key=9575. From the appearance, it seems the link opens the file rather than providing a download. You can copy and paste it into Notepad or another similar note program and save it with a pp2 extension, and it should work.

I use Poser 13 and win 10
Yeah, taking it into Notepad++ will generate the prop. Just saving it as CocktailDressLong.pp2 will be enough. Keep in mind, the dress shader is set up for Superfly Cycles with a PrincipledBsdf node. I might work if you substitute Cycles for the PhysicalSurface node to make it work in Firefly. I need to test that.
Ah, sorry about the confusion! I would have preferred to just link to my file locker so you could see all the entries with the descriptions and download links, but I don't know how to do that.
By the way, in Firefox I can still right-click on the link to open a download dialog, like it used to be in the olden days. Not sure about other browsers, though.

For what it's worth, here's my description/instruction for the dress:
Dynamic cocktail dress for LF2 as a bare prop file. When creating a simulation, activating cloth self-intersection is recommended. A collision distance of 0.3 and a collision depth of 0.5 seem to work well. To change the length, find the "SkirtLength" node in the material room and change the length value. Use the same length for both the main and the hem materials. You can also copy the node into other materials, passing any existing alpha input through, to enable the variable length functionality for them. Note that this relies on special UV maps, so it is not likely to work for most other clothing props.

I don't use Firefly so I don't know how to make materials that work with it. Inside the "SkirtLength" node there's just a bit of math plus a "V" variable node which I think is Cycles-specific. If anyone knows the Firefly-equivalent for this, it should be possible to modify this so that the variable length also works with Firefly materials.

Well alright, I'll do it! I might as well include a version with a P11-friendly material, then, while I'm at it.Wellllll, I tried saving the file as a .pp2 in TextEdit which is for Mac, and it did not work at all because it has to be saved as a Rich Text Format file. Can't you just put the contents into a zip and upload it to your file locker, Olaf? That would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I still think all y'all could have just right-clicked to get this downloaded as a file, without any copy-pasta.

Okay, here's the link to the ZIP file: https://www.renderosity.com/filelocker/57391/download?key=4903. It contains the dress as well as the bodice (see image below) in regular and P11-friendly versions (hopefully, I don't have P11 to test them with). Please use the bodice included in this file instead of the one I uploaded earlier. I increased the fold resistance which gets rid of the ugly wrinkles it was plagued with before. Fingers crossed that this upload now works for everyone.

Oh, and while we're at it, here's the best method I have found so far for strapless bras, bodices and the like. This one is not technically strapless, but the straps don't do too much to keep the cups in place, so I think it counts. :-)
There is a thin strip of "underwire" between the cups and the main fabric which is constrained to the body. As long as this is located in the crease under the breasts, and as mentioned above, the fold resistance is high enough, the distortion due to the constraint is minimal, and if the cups are modeled to be tight to the breasts, it is enough to hold them up. Although it seems obvious in retrospect, it took me a long time to come up with this method, so maybe it will help someone making or converting similar clothes.

Okay, the extended grab bag is here: https://www.renderosity.com/filelocker/57393/download?key=5688. It now also contains the Minoan under-dress, skirt, and fused under-dress/skirt combo, as well as the undies with the material shown below on the right (separate post because of see-through "nudity"). I think this covers all my unpublished clothes, at least the recent ones. If you're missing anything else, please let me know.

Thanks for the kind words and everyone's continued interest. Always nice to know I can spark a little bit of joy with the things I make.
While these are quite likely the last clothes I will make specifically for LF2, it is not impossible that I will feel inclined to come back to show off something I made for Antonia or some other figure to use in Blender and ask if anyone wants a Poser version for LF2.
