Subject: Figure Setup Simplification?

Is there any way to quickly assign rotation labels and/or values when setting up a new character, or is the only way to manually go through each joint and set it up. I have a character with a looooooonnnnnnnggggg tail, and am wondering if there's any simple way to set it up. Appreciate any thoughts.

There are a couple "riggings" out there that slightly modify it. But I don't have the information on those at the moment. I do however have an idea for you ... if you are willing to go into the python script (in theory ... I haven't actually done this) in a text editor and cut and paste the code repeatedly assigning a new name each time it might go a bit faster. Python gurus could probably even give you the base code to get you started.

Not quite sure which stage of the setup your at,

if you're rigging then you have a couple of options - the set up room or using a Hier File (A Heir File is the old way of setting up figures but is useful for things like tails, buildings etc - you set up a text file with the rigging and use that instead of the setup room - See page 1061 of the Poser Reference Manual )

if you've already rigged then something like 3dcheapskate Freazypose will help - download link http://www.sharecg.com/v/90793/gallery/8/Script/Freazypose-prototype-0.10

Freazypose looks like something I need. I haven't been able to get EasyPose Underground right on the new computer I got this summer.
