New install of studio both the standard and public build. both start up but both have the same error ,PostgerSQL CMS not valid .The folder is under Daz's folder,is it possible I downloaded the wrong one? John

It's possible your firewall or antivirus software is preventing it from starting. It's only needed if you are using the so-called "Smart Content".

Smart content is a time saver for me and I use it alongside of the traditional Content tab.

ok now we have an other problem or two. A: no Iray a: 3Dlight only B: no content library Studio does not read the library files under My Documents ,Daz 3DStudioMy Library ? I do not know what I did wrong except downloaded the latest version of studio.

What bit version of Studio are you using? Iray is only available on 64 bit version.

jestmart; I'm using 64 bit studio,I reinstalled the latest version to day.Iray is back and so is the Content Library. my Granddaughter say's smart content is all black and white ? I thank all for their help.

If it's black and white it means that the items are not, as far as the Content Management System is concerned, installed.

I need to get the studio to find the data (my documentsDaz 3dstudiomy library )is there a way to do that?Because all of the black and white stuff is there all ready.? John

Does that folder appear in the Content Directory Manager (Edit>Preferences>Content tab) under the current set for Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats? If not, use the Add button to add it but I suspect it already does since that's one of the defaults. Since those are DIM installs it should work to reimport the metadata - open the Content Library pane's option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) and select Content DB Maintenance, then check Reimport Metadata and click Accept, then make sure that both Userdata and product data are selected in the next dialogue and again click Accept.

Ok Studio is getting better ,but the black and white old stuff has got to go.I'v tried deleting them thy just come back, content library ,smart content the same old thing. We do not need vicky 1,2,3 or michael early junk,it was fine 10 years ago as that was all we had to use.
