Quote - Is this South Africa, Clive?
What a great idea and photo!!!
You are great dear Maria, coming out of the sax! Just brilliant. :)
Mies permit me to answer as i visited the Western Cape including Cape Town.
Defenitely South Africa and somewhere around the Cape area.
Ones eyes just sees mountains all around as they are all around.
That is why i said they are stuck in my mind as i can remember that we could not get enough looking at the beautiful mountains.
God Bless.
Quote - Thank you Christo, I didn't know there was any snow in South Africa.
God bless.
Mies i believe the white that you see is sea sand.
There is areas where you drive along and very near to beaches.
It is not supposed to snow in the Cape now as it is summer.
I do know that they have gail force winds currently.

Sinfonia dealt gale force blow again 2012-12-10 15:28
Cape Town - The Port of Cape Town has been affected by gale force winds, forcing it to deny access to certain vessels due to safety concerns.
MSC Cruises announced in a statement that the Cape Town Port authority will only allow the MSC Sinfonia, returning from a 3-night cruise from Mossel Bay, to dock at 06:00 on 11 December 2012 - if the wind conditions have eased.
I love the reflections of the sax, Maria! The way you caught you granddaughter in the baloon heart is special!
It is in Cape Town, Mies, on Baden Powell drive between Muizenberg and Macassar. The road runs along the False Bay coast for about 20km, as Christo said.
I do not think I will be able to travel it today, as the wind last night will have blown more sand across the road. The road is then closed until it is cleared. This will add a good 10km to my trip if I have to go out that way today.
Thanks, Christo!

Pleasure Clive and Mies.
Seems like the wind from the Cape blew Rain to this side .
Had a big storm this morning and the clouds look treathening currently.
God Bless.
Quote - Thank you both, Clive and Christo (also for the link),
for telling me about what's on that beautiful photo.I suspect you may laugh, I thought I saw snow. ;-)
It seems to be a dangerous place there because of storms and the like.
But sure you both are safe now :D!Many greetings, Mies-Jacomina.
I must still experience those winds Mies.
A year back when we were there on Holiday we only experienced wind once when we stopped at Muizenberg Beach and it was not gail force wind. If i can remember correctly with the last Gail Force winds they had in Cape Town the wind speed measured on table mountain was 160km per hour.
Blessed day and week.
God Bless.

Oh, that's hard 160 km.
When we lived near the beach in The Hague and Scheveningen, it could blow really hard too, but I do not know if it was so much hard as you are saying here, Christo.
Blessed day and week too, dear friend(s)!

It is indeed hard and strong winds .That must be why they call the Cape " Cape of storms. Must say it will be something new to experience such strong winds as we do not have such conditions here in Pretoria.
God Bless.
Quote - If it could blow all the stress away, then I would come to that Cape right away!!!!
Seriously! ;-)
I believe it will Mies.
Would not mind to stay in that region especially in the small town Robertson where we visited and stayed for the duration of our holiday a year ago. Here is a link with information of Robertson Mies.

A street in Berlin

The German constitution engraved in glass. In the reflection you can see the Paul-Loebe-Haus which houses part of the German government (if I remember it correctly).

Amazing uploads Denise.
Glad to see your wonderful pictures in the challenge.
Superb capture Jacomina.
I fell in love with the Cape.
One thing that i do not know if i would be able to cope with the Cape winters and gail force winds. My wife already said she do not want to live there as she do not like cold winters. I would love to stay there. It is a different asmophere then Pretoria.
God Bless.

So nice, Maria!
Martina is a lovely girl, as the photo is so pretty with the hearts and the balloons.
