Yeh, in the absence of more details I'm not sure I'm answering the right question:
Select the specific material and change it to an eco type, than you can populate it or paint it
"I paint that which comes from the imagination or from dreams,
or from an unconscious drive. I photograph the things that I do not
wish to paint, the things which already have an
existence."

I think it would be great to be able to paint a path/road or whatever. I love Vue for 7 years now, but it does have its short comings. For the price we should have better plant materials, and not have to rely on 3rd party software like GeoControl, which is also great, but not so cheap.

HA, got ya(;
Can I paint an eco system on just a material that already has an eco system on it ?
Like i populate my grass material with trees, then I paint grass on the existing material?
ONLY the one material, not the whole terrain.
