I'm triying to use the free manipulation tool to streamline my posing for animation. The reference book of Poser 7 states that when dragging near the center of a bodypart the cursor will change into the Translate mode, while dragging outsite this region it will be like the rotating tool.
Well, in my case the cursor only functions in the Rotation mode. 
Is this a Poser 7-bug or am I doing something wrong?

Must admit I've never used the tool before.... 

When I try a quick test on various figures and props, it only rotates. 
Pulling on the yellow square things causes a change in scale,
but I can't make it do a translation under any conditions.
Maybe there's a very small 'sweet spot'?

IK on?

It's the same on parts with and without IK, and on simple props.

it sounds like the manipulation tool in the ivy generator I was trying last nite. depending on which key is held down, or which mouse button is held down, the same tool does all kinds of stuff.
