Ah so. But I just now got an ebot from a thread where the last post was in 2001! Jeeze, is someone cleaning up their tracks from that long ago? I now realize the the other post I referred to above must have been me replying to an ebot as well. It seems a little strange that it would happen twice (don't recall it ocurring before), unless someone is preparing to run for office and is deleting their digital paper trail. Thanks for the explanation :-)

"On my end, what I see is, today, someone made a "bookmark" to the page, and deleted it. Since yours was the last post in that thread (albeit, almost 4 years ago), you get the ebot ;). Someone may have searched the forum for a certain topic, and this may have been one of the subjects returned." - Admin Sounds possible, I suppose. Rather bizarre though. I can only hope the perp has heard the old down home saying "Never get into a pissing contest with a skunk..."

Has anyone ever seen old threads mysteriously bubble up to the top of the list (not from having a recent message posted)?
I somehow replied to a two year old post (and was chastised for reopening old wounds), but I never go beyond the first couple of pages of the list--and no, I don't necessarily look at the dates though I'm beginning to think I should. Oddly, my message was dated one month and one day (+ two years of course) after the last original post.
