EDIT: ok, i found the relevant info post about the new rule from june 2025, 6 months ago. i first didn't because i forgot to sort the forum posts by date and not the (stupid) default relevance which brought a gazillion unrelated threads...
so, old info but not that much. and it states that it concerns the new uploads after the new rule was introduced. which means i'm not concerned, or rather my AI pics. and i won't be punished/my work deleted because the little icon is lying and people who don't want to see AI will still see my stuff.
but i still find this gallery system here really unpractical, nothing can be done in batches, afaik not even delete a bunch of images, or move a bunch to another gallery. and right here, not being able to change ALL info at once, for example Ai/not AI, is suboptimal.
so, 518 images are falsely labeled... i hope nobody blows a gasket because despite having activated their no AI filter, they'll still see my filthy vile AI...

The icons and checkboxes were added to allow people to filter out AI and partially AI images if they choose. You do not have to change your old images. That would be a horrendously monumental task for all artists to do and for us to check. Don't worry about pasts uploads just check it as needed for new ones.

if anybody is going to go back multiple years in your gallery to report you for policies that changed after you posted them, you would think Renderosity's mod staff would be smart enough to realize that.
Developer speaking here: each website has a dedicated database linked to it. Everything lies in tables. I know SQL, the most used language for databases, website-related included.
So: a dev can easily run an SQL query to set a specific flag for the said user within a range of dates in the DB.
The support should be able to do this: find someone that knows more or less the structure of the DB (hopefully...), detect the DB ID of the user, retrieve the dedicated tables, write the query: done in, let's say less than an hour.
I've been using this numerous times in the past, to help the ERP on which I've been working for 8-9 years.

I don't think anybody's been asked to do that or even expected to care, although it would be nice to hear from staff that this is something users should worry about (they definitely should not be expected to worry about it)
As I said earlier in this thread, no, you do not have to change any of your old images. You can leave them all marked as not AI. I am not going back and checking years of images, and if someone reports an image as not appropriately marked, I check the image's date before taking any action.

ok, nice to know that while rules will be enforced ,at least it will be within reason, as in, not retroactive.
batch managing of our galleries is however something that should be/have been possible tho, it's a quite essential feature, even considering the AI labelling is moot.

ok, i say new-ish because i haven't been around my gallery for ages, even if i peek on rendo every day, like for deals or to see my inbox. but this change might have happened months ago, maybe more. and i have no idea if/where this has been discussed/explained, but i'm not gonna search/read in the forum for hours. so i ask here and now.
thing is, as i had a look at my gallery right now for nostalgic reasons, i saw this little icon in a corner, and the icon says "no AI". per se, a good idea. only problem is, i uploaded those images like what, 2 years ago? first i uploaded a few daz renders, then i had an AI phase and uploaded a big bunch of AI pics, kind of my best (best back then, it was the beginning...). anyway the AI part is much bigger than the daz one. AND I PUT THEM IN THE RIGHT GALLERY TOO. the AI one.
wondering where the little icon came from, i opened the edit view of one of my pics, and there it is: NOW there's one more batch of checkboxes at the bottom saying made with AI, whole, partial, not at all. and punishment if "fraud" is committed.
maybe this new regulation concerns only the images that have been uploaded AFTER the rule was introduced, which is fine. otherwise it's a bit taxing for those like me who had a big pile of AI, and are supposed to change all the info retroactively. unless there's a batch way to do it.
because i don't mind being honest about that, yes, a big bunch of my uploaded images were made with AI, yes yes yes. and i also find that the little icon in the corner of my images is lying right now. EVEN IF IT'S OBVIOUS THAT IT'S AI BECAUSE I PUT THEM IN THE AI GALLERY AS I UPLOADED THEM...
but how am i supposed to change the info - check the right box - on a few hundred images? you don't honestly expect me to open every single one of those +500 images and go check that box, right? they've been there for years, and i also just discovered the whole issue right now by pure chance.
IS THERE A WAY TO SELECT A WHOLE BUNCH - LIKE USING THE FILTER CHECKBOX OF THE SECTIONS - AND CHANGE EVERYTHING AT ONCE?
if not, i either just leave it as it is - or i delete my gallery if someone jumps up and down.
remember the famous HW products that were supposed to be transferred to our rendo accounts? like, promised? a five years pending issue? and in the end mostly didn't because the involved work was way too much for the rendo team (well, the single person dispatched for that)? so, i hope rendo doesn't ask us to do the kind of sysyphus work they didn't do themselves...
