If it's the same one, why on earth are they vitching about the "Great AI Menace" on the one hand while flinging it all over the place themselves with the other? There's a word for that sorta thing, yes?
Agreed yours is much better. You really ought to post it to the gallery. Call it an homage. Then have a big bowl of popcorn while being amused and entertained.
Yeah, I'm in a mood. Trying to write credit/production notes that don't sound like an apology for use of AI while at the same time being accurate and maybe even helpful to anyone who's interested in my art more than my tools will do that to you. I
I mainly just post picture in the gallery. No waffling, just the title. And comments turned off. They either like it or they don't. I'm at the age now where frankly, I don't give a ....
I honesty was gaslighting myself thinking maybe it was not AI and they were just a very talented digital artist deliberately messing with me by altering pupils and fingers on their Poser renders to look like AI
Thing is, I'm usually quite amicable.
Then someone hits my "IRK" button hahaaaaaaaa
Still....enough time wasted on the cockwombles. Back to pretty pictures LOL

I think the main difference is being able to add weight in Midjourney. This is the same prompt as yours (except for the aspect ratio) but discombobulate is at the end with a weight of 2, rest of prompt is at the default weight 1Narrow alley, old medieval city, cobblestone, Ed-Big Daddy Roth and discombobulated, intricate details beautiful lighting dramatic lighting Soft focus warm light sharp edges watercolor and ink LNF

Gill
gillbrooks, yours's are definitely more what I wanted
Here's another example. Same prompt
#1 no discombobulate
#2 discombobulate, but no weight
#3 discombobulate, weighted 2
You see that there's not much difference between #1 and #2 but then BOOM.... #3 :)
The prompt was Birds, flowers, tree, alcohol ink and impasto mix, realistic photography, colorful background, detailed portrait, intricate details, rich colours, realistic style

Super fun stuff from everyone enjoying all your creations.....!!
obviously gill is correct...unless you can add a add weight value to "discombobulate"....
i had a look....I don't use SD....so have no idea if this is correct or not....?

STABLE DIFFUSION
An equivalent way to adjust keyword strength is to use () and []. (keyword) increases the strength of the keyword by a factor of 1.1 and is the same as (keyword:1.1). [keyword] decrease the strength by a factor of 0.9 and is the same as (keyword:0.9).
You can use multiple of them, The effect is multiplicative.
(keyword): 1.1
((keyword)): 1.21
(((keyword))): 1.33
Similarly, the effects of using multiple [] are
[keyword]: 0.9
[[keyword]]: 0.81
[[[keyword]]]: 0.73
@Darkglass , oh those are goooooood !!
I don't use SD either so maybe those who do can give your findings a try.
I've had a go at this myself with " Adventures to be had, places to see, things to explore...." but with that adult frame of mind and thinking it's a bit too restrictive, it worked i got what i had in mind...but from the imagination of a child....my niece and nephew....zero limits or restrictions.....was a fun afternoon, never intended for them to participate....curious minds and all that...!!

sadly for me it seems to make little difference if Stable Diffusion is discombobulated in multiple brackets or totally absent
I first heard that word spewed out of a politician's mouth a couple of tears ago, forgotten who 🤣
rhol: the wombo figure v2 style produces some cute images.
In wombo, putting parentheses around a word in the prompt can sometimes emphasize that word. - putting $ around a word can sometimes lessen the emphasis - but I get no changes doing anything with discombobulate, not even when I place the word in different spots.

Discombobulated doesn't seem to affect NightCafe or Leonardo.sadly for me it seems to make little difference if Stable Diffusion is discombobulated in multiple brackets or totally absent

Bakapo - A work around, if you like, instead of using the prompt word 'discombobulate', you use an image that has already been discombobulated. A cheat code, lol, so here is an image for you, or anyone else. Just save and upload into Wombo, slide the influence to weak, normal, or strong. I say try a bunch on each to see what you like best. Add any prompt you want, pick an effect and render away. Hope you find something fun and cool... ;)

Captain John: A case of Identity is in the gallery now. Would have posted earlier but dealing with healthcare issues yesterday. No biggie, just braces/ortho fittings. Took gill's advice and kept things simple with production notes, etc. Still allowing comments though.

Ladylake - Very nice beach homes, I have a few on the go, will share if I find something i might retire to, lol. Also some cool results using Playground, Chucky's little bro... ;)
Gill - An interesting word, little knitted figures. I'm sure I can find a demented evil version, ha ha ha...
Luna - Great looking portraits, you make a fine wonder woman in her later years, very creative idea. I cyberpunked an image of myself for some avatar ideas, I might be brave enough to post it some day, ha... :)
