Subject: Figament's AI Corner
Been pullin wrenches and doing some machining on the jugs for that Sporty, remembered why I was happy not pulling wrenches so often any more...my Hands scraped knuckles are NOT fun! Couple days away and rhol goes crazy with the Red Heads, as a red blooded Irishman (mostly) red heads with freckles is my weakness even now (don't tell Lou).

Been working on some of my older stuff, added this doggo to the gallery. Probably gonna add another kitty next. Still in search of the perfect Sherlock Holmes -- that particular actor shows up even when using the generic "Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle" prompt. Must be the model was trained to associate him with the character most of the time. :sigh: And it still can't get couples right.

All these things in Bottles reminded me of something I meant to explore "Catching Lightning in a Bottle "...they used to say that about Ducati Racing riding a Ducati was like catching Lightning, yeah they were fast but rarely finished a race because of what else but Ignition and electrical problems.

Giana: I find that word order has a lot to do with what it "understands". Sometimes just reversing a couple of words makes a huge difference. Gill uses MidJ and I don't so won't speak to that one but I know Wombo cares a bunch and when you are so limited on how many characters it can really change things. I am loving Playground AI. It is still not the Cadillac like MidJ but it is a bunch better than Wombo (IMHO). Wish I had found Playground before I spent on a year of Wombo. Same ole story, get what you pay for I guess. lol

From the short time i've had with AI... ( compared to everything else i've used in the last 25 plus years ) In my honest opinion, i would say every aspect of a prompt has an impact on the end result, punctuation marks, capital letters, full stops, commas, colons, spelling and grammar, word positions, aspect ratio, the list goes on and on and on....First image of "A storm in a teacup"...done couple of months ago...Recent "A storm in a teacup"...refined and with more understanding....
I'd thought that and usually use commas,semi colons etc., but not sure now. Watch this....

thank you so much for everyone's responses. as you can guess, i really don't know much about how prompts actually influence things in great detail. i get the general gist and all, but the lot of you seem to some deeper understanding which is evident by the images you post here...

i forgot to address what you were saying about Wombo...
i did find that moving the same words/phrases around did have an impact on what Wombo thought i was saying. of course, that was back in August '22, so i really wasn't sure if things have progressed or not in terms of AI intelligence/communication. nor did i consider that it might matter which AI you try/use. i used midJ for a few free images, Wombo, and there was another one i tried... maybe called something like Cafe? that one seemed to make nicer images than Wombo at that time, but it was limited in its 'free' usage, so i couldn't get into much because of that [think i got 3 free so it was limiting].
i'd be rather interested in your findings in the program you use in regards to the things discussed in the vid Gill linked to...
Giana: Here are three examples of what Playground AI did with different punctuation between phrases. Prompt was very simple: pink flamingo, jungle scene, house in background . I also ran all of it together as one long word. I forgot to save that one; it was just a touch more realistic but not much. So what you use does make small differences. Also switched words around with jungle scene first and pink flamingo in the middle house background last. That made almost no difference. I used no image as a seed for the next try and no filter for any of them.
While you're there, if you look for geekatplay, that's Vladimir....he's got a ton of tutorials and other stuff on there. I always liked him for learing new things in Vue and he's moved on to AI. Some great tips to be hadwhoa... some awesome storms in vehicles for tea!!

Like Darkglass I am a fan of Jukeboxes, when I was in 4th 5th and 6th grade my mom worked as a waitress in a Diner Malt Shop across the street from my Grade School it had a Big Wurlitzer Jukebox. The kind with Fluorescent Tubes full of liquid and bubbles it was cool as he!!, it was fun too to have a mom who was known to most of my grade school peers and the Big kids from the JR High 2 blocks up the street made it easy to fall in with the wrong crowd in 7th grade, I dropped out in the 8th and mom moved us to GA to live with my Drill Sgt brother to straighten my ass out.

i might just do as you suggest and take a looksee when i've time to do so. though i have quite mixed feelings about AI and its impact on the art community as a whole, i honestly am interested in learning more about it. i mean even if i don't use AI, and no matter the conflicted feelings i have about it, that doesn't mean i'm so closed-minded as to not be interested in learning a bit about it, or to sit & cast judgement on those that play with it [though i will admit, i DO judge those that use it and who then try to pass it off as non-AI, as i appreciate honesty, if that makes sense...]

that first tempest is awesome, how it plays with the eyes - the sail on the ceramic, and yet peeking up over the rim of the cup, too... lovely illusion...
makes me think of the idea of tattoos coming to life off the skin :))
