Subject: Morphs V4.2

scottl ( ) posted Wed, 16 April 2014 at 12:20 AM · edited Thu, 26 October 2023 at 6:00 AM

Just installed Poser10, using windows 8.1....I have installed correctly the morphs for V4.2 but the body will not morph and there are dials missing. It made me suspect that they didnt install but I installed them by hand following the filepaths, any ideas?

Thanks

If I remember well you must inject the morphs for them to work. Search in Pose - Morph injection

Did you reinitialize V4 after installing them?

I'm with WandW, initialization, or reintialization, is necessary to create the channels to accept Morph++, or any other installed package.  As a rule, any DAZ morph package install, i.e., Elite, Creatures, Stephanie 4, The Girl 4, etc,  requires reinitialization of the V4 base.  Any prior V4 saved back into the Library will not accept those changes unfortunately.

mebbe thats it becuase there was nothing showing to inject, altho I didnt initialize the m4 but they were fine, will figure out how to initialize them, been since p7 that ive done this, thanks

To initialize the V4 figure,  browse to the folder you installed your stuff/runtime/!DAZ and Click on both: (in Windows; there are Mac scripts in the same directory)

  • DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat
  • DzCreateExPFiles-V4V3.bat

If your M4 was initialized since P7, there is no need to reinitialize, all the morphs will still work in P10 if the runtimes are linked.  As you indicated, V4 is newly installed so you need to run the .bat file.

got it, had to reinstall via the daz installer, which I hate, and it just worked, strange

Thx again

The installer automatically runs the initialization script...
