Hi,

I have had a look on Daz's site and here at Renderosity but couldn't really find much of a selection, does anyone know any good sites where I can get new shaders from? Either free or to buy?

Patrick210 has a great tree shader freebie that takes advantage of Carrara's translucency feature. It looks especially good when backlit by the "sun". It's available at Polyloop.net, though you will probably have to join (it's free) to download it. I think some others are available there.
There are a few freebie Carrara shaders available at digitalpainters.net  as well.

I have some free shaders at ShareCG.  They're not perfect (I'm still learning) but you might find them useful for something.  😄
