**I've just got my new addition of Imagine FX through the post. Flipping through it I came across a section about Dark Anvil who have released a free figure for Poser. It's on the disc & also at their website. I've no idea how good this is but I've used products from Dark Anvil before & they are good. It could be worth checking out.

She's nice - takes V3 poses really well and lighter on the wallet and system than V4. 
Theres a princess clothing package and Smythlak figure as well. Really well priced.

The magazine is now avaliable in WH Smiths. It's a few days early because of Xmas. 

If you don't live in the UK, the model can be downloaded for free at the DA site. 

Theres also a free iron on tattoo with this months issue. 
Just remember keep the iron on a low setting or you'll burn all your chest hairs off :)
  

How you all getting on with the free base? There's been quite a few downloads of her.

Loads of models are being loaded up on our site this month, with about 20 more to get up there to catch up with already finished items, then we can release 1 or 2 a week in different styles and genres.

Keep buying and hopefully we can do some more free figures!

Some kind of clothes would be good.  She has a strange looking face, and the neck bones make the neck bend in an unnatural looking way.  I haven't come up with anything worthwhile yet to use her in.

I have her but also have a million irons in the fire lately. That means I haven't had time to do much more than look her over...sigh. DPH: Are you a fan of "Charmed"? I watch it sometimes.

My favorate was Page, follwed by Piper.  Phoebe was cute but obnoxious sometimes (a few too many boyfriends, and a little too trampy).  Prue was just too dark and gloomy for my tastes.

Hopefully some merchants will do morphs to make their clothes fit. You may be able to fit some v3 items with dial turning, or if you can export it to a modelling program you could make a morph for that item to fit her body.

Regarding the neck twist. Yes it's not perfect is it in an extreme over the shoulder looking pose. It's the way the orginal mesh is made and how poser copes with it. We plan to release more free bases that just keep on imporving in the way they perform inside poser.

I was refering to more wearable clothes than that stuff.  Just a long sleve shirt and slacks can be turned into other things with just trans maps and new textures.  That outfit barely qualifies as dressed on some liberal beaches! :lol:

Hi everybody.

Does someone around here still have a copy of the Heroine free base file?

I ask since, in a sale by Mr.Sparky, I got the "Princess and Smythlak" bundle by Dark Anvil (they are clothes for the Heroine and her arch-enemy)
Unluckily, the Princess consists in clothes and accessories for the Heroine base character...
but she is not included, and we are supposed to download her from Dark Anvil's website.
Which, of course, is closed and the Wayback Machine does not seem to have archived a copy of the character...

So I asked Mr.Sparky but he does not have a copy.
Then I was able to reach Dark Anvil himself: he answered that he tried, but could not find a copy, yet...
but he kindly added: "You are welcome to ask the community if anyone has the free base file and I give permission to share it." 

So, in case someone happens to have it, we could make her available again!

Maybe in the Freestuff section?

No, I mean, if someone has her, we could put her in the freestuff section ourselves :-)
