Okay have been fiddlin with this for a few days now. My question is.??? I have a set of wings I made in max. Now I have saved left side right side. Now I want to be able to make them smart proped but independently. So the left still moves and the right still moves. . I can set the parent and all is fine and they move with the poses. But once I save back to prop file and then reload they are not set to parent. What ever am I doing wrong here. Please needs some help.

Oh yah and when I do save I can't seem to get poiser to ask me to smart prop why???

I think this was fixed in P6.  When you save as a subset, Poser skips the smart prop thing.  Save one wing as a smat prop, then open that PP2 file in WordPad.  You'll find a line something like: smartParent: chest:1

The file with both of them will have two lines that read: parent: Universe.  Paste the smartParent line over these.  Make sure the number after the body part matches (chest:1 above) the number used in the file (the prop name should have the colon and number at the end).

You'll need to save the files as uncompressed if you are using P5.

Okay nope I am using pp4. What would I do now that I am using pp4.? Thanks for the help by the way.

If you're using Poser 4 or Poser 4 Pro Pack the instructions above apply.  As I said, I think Poser 6 saves these okay now, but it was always a hand edit job in previous versions.

Ah okay. I did it and it worked. Most excellent. yanks so much for your help. I do have p6 but rarely use it yet. Still stuck in the pp4 mode...lol. Again thanks for your help. You were a big help.
