Christina - what were those commercial eye textures? i can't find them. the eye to eye product in renderosity has no textures - just adjusts your own textures to fit other figures. love esther

Why was I thinking it was a billy-t product... I've never bought any of his stuff? My brain is fritzing lately sorry... I went and looked in my purchase history. It's Eye-T-Eye by mask edit... here's the link to be sure...http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=30199 It really is a great product. Christina

I think it depends on what you are going for. They both look good... but the left one is truely reflecting the environment... where the right one isn't. Great progress. Christina

couldn't have done it without your help! Yes, I've saved both versions and now I'm trying the new daz textures I bought. I'm sure these are the ones you are talking about, and guess what, they import into carrara looking right anyway (I can't tell for sure if they've put the textures on oppositely for the eyes as they should be so they don't come out mirror image), after all that hehe. But as you say, it's nice to have ones reflecting true environment, but often that environment might just be a camera with a light behind it as sometimes poser people live on stage sets. Love esther

All my poser people live on stage sets....well except for the few prized ones that are allowed to live in my head (some of my characters come from my writing) I've got those textures too... I think... I know I've got a set of daz eye textures. :P Sometimes it's just a matter of trial and error, and since I have a thing about good looking eyes... I thought I'd contribute to the post... it's been fun as always.

All the textures look good esther...where did you get them DAZ3D? Which character is this? This character would be good for some things, but I think the really betty boop lashes and huge pupils might be hard to work with for some things.Definitely makes your eyes more important.

Glad I'm not the only one who brings my novel characters to life.... Sweet love that last image... just brings it all together. Christina BTW ren_mem... I'm with you on the hair problems... not many great hair products out their... and some render great in poser and not in Carrara... wonder what's up with that?

Oh that's great esther. Yeah, it isn't a problem with this angle. They are lovely eyes. What I meant was that when you have strong features they can have their limits for certain looks. While those lashes look longer than real lashes(even the longest)it's so distinctive that it would only fit a certain look. I think the hair has alot to do with the difference in how they handle shading and lighting. Probably lighting more so. Hair/lashes and eyebrows...really are difficult to get right. You end up with wrong colors, greasy looking or mat...real problems.

Yes - if you mean the standard ones that you buy as an add on. That's what I used for making the above character. Love esther

Excellent scene estherau, but I'm wondering why so many Poser female models have lips that look like they've been kissing a frozen hockey puck? When kissing-frozen-hockey-puck-lips go out of anatomical style, all these graphics are going to look a bit.well like corsets as fine art.
Now dont take my comment personally, your work is excellent. ;-)
Hmmmm? I've never kissed a frozen hockey puck.... that certainly got my mind thinking....

Very good information...you could spend forever on every single texture on a model. I am trying to improve hair. Some hair is sad.
