Subject: What does this error msg mean ?

As stated above. I got this error when clicking on displacement & then on "shader" or "shader18". The error is saying drive E but I have C5PBeta on Drive C. Thanks :)

It could be an error by the C5beta or it could be an error by Ground Control. Eric would have a better answer. Ringo

See the above pic :) If so, what have I done wrong :)to generate this. I do have the C5 Beta of this.(as well as the purchased C4v) Thanks

The DCG plug-ins for the current C5Beta to not work at this time. Eric posted a message earlier in one of the forums mentioning this...

While working with a Beta is very cool, it is always tempered by the little goofy things that happen with software since it's not quite ready for prime time. Mark

Hi,

The beta DCG plug-ins should work with Build 36, but there are some issues still, they are beta plug-ins running on beta software built with a beta SDK ;) . It's likely a GC error and I'll take a look at it.

As I remember from C3 (or was it C4...) there was a bug that kept coming up with this kind of error. The error is directing the program to a location on the SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS computer, not yours. That path is to some component that isn't available to you at all! This would be as good one to forward to Eovia, since they need to fix it before the big push to ship in a couple weeks. I know this doesn't help you much, but it is an odd quirk of software development... :D
