I have worked in the presentation field for almost 20 years, and only recently started doing serious 3D work. I had dabbled in 3D CAD for doing room layouts for clients, but it was all stills. (And it was for someone else!)BIO5 years ago I aquired Raydream Studio, and I was hooked! Since then I've generated dozens of 1/2 finished projects, but what I really wanted to do was animation.
I upgraded to Carrara 1.1 2 years ago, and had some success. (I finished a couple of projects!;>)
Last year was a banner year though. I created my first 3 animations... and people paid me!
My last project used charcter animation. Unfortunatly, Carrara didn't upgrade to V2 until after I was finished. (No Bones, subdivision, or Global Illumination! ARGH! I intend to re-do it with the new version.)
I also discovered why alot of movies have a "Director's Cut" version. They cut all of "the story" out of the presented version, and left the base information. Oh well...
