Subject: Hexagon ?'s

The previous thread reminds me again of what to do about a Hexagon forum. I'm not really bothered with Hexagon questions here. Even so, I'm sure there are other users who do wonder where to post questions. Since Hexagon is essentially Amapi 8, should we include it into the Amapi forum? We had a lot of heartburn having Carrara and Raydream in one forum but for different reasons (Ray Dream is dead). -Kix

I want to clarify that Hexagon is NOT Amapi 8. We are continuing to develop the Amapi Pro line, which is currently at release 7.5. Hexagon is a creative poly modeling tool, while Amapi will continue to be a technical NURBS and poly modeling tool. It may be best to not include Hexagon with Amapi. Just my two cents. Bob

Now that the $99 price is gone. I don't think there will be enough Hexagon users to bother making a forum for. There are more Amapi users. And you can see how dead their forum is.

Hexagon is included in the Carrara family of applications on the Eovia website. Why not let Hex questions be posted here? It seems more relative than Ray Dream to me.

All that would need to be done is add a little header info for Hex in this forum.

Have a great day everyone.

My feeling is that it should have a separate forum. Mostly because there will be quite a few people using it who aren't interested in Carrara. Likewise there will be Carrara users who aren't especially interested in Hexagon (I'm one of those). Just because Eovia make both is not a good enough reason.

I'm for keeping them together until there are enough posts on Hexagon to justify a new forum. Besides -- this forum's been slow of late. We could use some fresh posting.

The special introductory price is extended to June 30th according to the website...

ShawnDriscoll ( ) posted Thu, 09 June 2005 at 10:26 PM

$169 for now. Then $249 in July.

I downloaded Hexagon and played with it for few sec and then I lost interest with it quickly. What make Hexagon so different from other apps? BTW my hexagon trial shld expire anytime soon

"I downloaded Hexagon and played with it for few sec and then I lost interest with it quickly" I'm curious, what did you expect to find in a few seconds of use? mdc

I like Hexagon a lot for organic modeling.

I wonders why ebot did not notify me when someone posted messages after mine? Anyways, I expected it to be like zBrush with symmeterical function. GWeb do not like complex tools.

Hi, You can also ask your question at the Hexagon forum I created over at Yahoo groups. We about 300 Hexagon users there in a very short period of time. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EoviaHexagon/?yguid=1058378 Plenty of info over there. Later Ringo
