As a faithful Poser fan, it still cannot beat the shadowing that other 3D softwares have. Carrara 4.0 has made some serious improvements, to the point I'm using it more often than Poser 6.0. We're using Carrara for Historical recreations (Ancient Villages) and it has provided us with the tools needed to make it work beautifully. To those still using Carrara 2.0, you will like the improvements with 4.0, with the same look and feel. UV mapping, Shadows, Rotations of objects and the new render engines alone has made it a supreme tool for us. Capt Crazy

Absolutely. Love to see those renders. I think Carrara is hot for a project like that; more architecturally-friendly then Vue -- esp with plug-ins like Architools -- and the lighting is wonderful.

The renderings are from an acient Native American Village, about the 1500's to the 1600's. Although the village is incomplete. But the terrain is taken from a topographic map and fed into the Carrara's terrain editor. The building are reconstructed from the description of De Soto's expedition.
