speaking from experence it's going to take a long time to import any of the daz mill figures like aiko,v3,m3 as an obj the only thing i can say is try to import it go read a book or something and wait i did go to the blender support forum and make a post about it a better obj impoter for blender but the only reply i got was something like "why? their's nothing wrong wit it".
oh i just rembered if you go to renapd Quick Suits page he has some Quick Suits you use for V3,M3,SP,DAVID, AND LAROO but they have no head or hands,But thet do import perty quick in to blender hope thats some help

Yes, it does take some time to import an obj file, but not long enough to read a book. Importing M3 took 158 seconds (approx. 2,5 minutes), so once you are finished with the import you should be just fine. If you are going to use it for morphtargets you probably won`t be needing the whole figure. However, I totally agree that they should improve the obj importer.
since we are on the subject of the import issue just to humor my self because im just bored i found the post i had made about the obj thing
draven931 wrote: a better obj export/import
in reply to that was this
If you have found bugs in the OBJ import/export, submit them to the bug tracker. Saying you'd like a "better OBJ import/export" is extremely vague and doesn't really help anyone.
ok maybe next time i should be more like "it really sucks at the moment and it needs a few options like maybe re scaling or re sizing on import and export.
Maybe im wrong for saying this but i always though the idea of community was to come together to help each other as best as possible over their all you really get is a why the helpfulness just isn't their other than pointing to you the same tut you just went thru and had a question about.Maybe I'm just being too opinionated or maybe i was just in a bad mood on that day which ever i just felt like sharing that why?.......because sharing is caring =)

I just tried the new obj importer on 2.36a about 10 sec for daz vicky reduced polygons. They specifically worked on importing obj for 2.36a, if that means anything. They also fixed some issues about materials. I think the changes were made in the "a" release. As for the snooty reply from "tech support". I follow the developers list, which is about as friendly as a anaconda with a hangover. So I share your pain. Anyway, as well all know, "tech support" and "open source" are often mutally exclusive.

Can anyone tell me anything about importing Poser figures into Blender? I'd like to bring them in for making morph targets or using them as dress maker's dummies when making clothes. I can't get any of them in without a work around that makes unusable for morph target purposes, and figures like Victoria (1.0, even the low rez version) and the Behemoth, won't load at all.
