I get sick of looking for info on Anything Glows. I need a simple tutorial on it. I have been trying to get to use it for almost 3 years! Eric's tutorials sucks! I can't find 'Anything Glows' in Carrara 3 manual book in index section! I looked for it in the contents and can't find it, I bet I have missed it. Oh well I am not text reader! ERIC YOU NEED TO POST A BETTER TUTORIAL FOR IT!!!! AND YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT EOVIA WILL PUT YOUR EXTENSIONS IN NEXT CARRARA MANUAL BOOK INDEX SECTION!!!! I AM SORRY I AM PISSED OFF. I DON'T LIKE TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING THAT ISNT THERE OR ANYTHING THAT ARE COMPLICATED!

That's rather unkind of you, Waldo. I understand that you are frustrated, but I think you could have stated your problem more constructively. Eric has always been helpful whenever folks have asked him questions. For what it's worth, it is page 372 in the C3 manual that you are looking for.

Yeah, i agree, Eric is a really nice person, and have helped me (and others) all the time that i've need. Have you tried to write him an email? Have a nice day:-) -TOXE

Waldo,

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble. Here's links to the Glows tutorials still on my site. I don't show them on the tutorials page, but there are still there. Of couse those might be the ones you're upset about.

http://www.digitalcarversguild.com/tutorials/agstart/
http://www.digitalcarversguild.com/tutorials/masterlight/

Anything Glows is really eovia's baby now (has been since C1.1) so I don't really have any plans on updating documentation or tutorials, but if you have a specific question or are looking for a sample file to get you started, please let me know.

I found the tutorial on Digital Carvers Guild more than adequate. I just Google it, and it came up. I agree with Eric also that if you have a bone to pick take it up with Eovia. The man even offers his help, even though it is no longer his product. A bit of politeness may serve you better then venting out your frustration.

Eric's tutorial is somewhat not adequate to me. When I tried to put anything glows shader on an object, it completerly confused me because it made two items in instances property and never able to manipulate it in texture editor as usual. I wonders why can't it be in texture editor next to glow?

Eric put a link to sample file that was never included in Carrara 3 >:| I wasted my good weekend over this thing

1.) I think I speak for 99.999999% of the community when I say that Eric has been a great asset to the Carrara world and that he's always been helpful, pleasant and responsive. (I have tons of personal experience and there's a whole ton here in the forum) 2.) The Carrara community at Renderosity is also a pretty helpful bunch and we will offer help when asked. 3.) Being nice counts. I have been badly stuck on issues where I was pretty mad that I couldn't get my job done. It's ok to say your mad about not figuring something out as long as you're objective about it. Being mad at a person because you can't figure something out is a bad move to make. If you need help, start a new thread and post an image and explain your issues. We'll try to help you out. -Kix
