Renderosity would not be what it is now if it wasn't for-- not only our members-- but also our staff.

Every month we will be spotlighting a member of staff that is performing to the best of their abilities and someone who goes above and beyond for the community.

Staff Spotlight for November is: MarkBremmer

MarkBremmer is one of our Moderators here at Renderosity. He is always ready to jump in and help his fellow team members, and members. MarkBremmer creates helpful tutorials for the Community to learn and grow from. We are very thankful to have him not only as a part of our team but also as a valued member of Renderosity. We look forward to having him part of our team for many more years to come.

Please tell us a little about yourself:

I see you've been a member for 16 almost 17 years; What introduced you to Renderosity?

My first CG program was Ray Dream Studio which later became Carrara. I had the basic version and lusted after a plug-in called Elements which could be used to create CG fire and such. I really didn't know what I was doing. I was already successful as an illustrator but could see the future of the business headed to digital. I joined Renderosity to learn from people that knew way more than I did.

How long have you been creating art?

I graduated from the University with a degree commercial art and a concentration in illustration. But, I really didn't start creating 'good' art until I'd been out for awhile and got more adept at the skills required.

What is your favorite work of art you created?

My favorite artwork is a painting I did of my boys. It's on canvas but I built up a gesso undersurface where their faces were so I airbrush and paint into fine detail. It goes from really rough brush strokes to single-hair detail. But, of all my professional stuff which includes digital, I don't really have a favorite. When working, I'm an art mercenary and simply get the job done.

What advice would you give to members who are just getting started with Renderosity?

This is an easy questions. Look for people who's work and style you enjoy. Then strike up a conversation. Virtually everybody at Renderosity loves to help others get better.

What do you enjoy most about being a Renderosity Staff member?

I've been a member, and staff member, long enough to see people progress and grow in their skill and abilities. That's the best.

Is there anything you would like to share with us that we may not know about you?

Hmmmm, what to share? Well, I like pouring a whiskey and playing lounge-style piano. The jazz and standards of the 40's and 50's are just super. However, I can't turn down a good Billy Joel or Elton John piece though. Leave your tips in the glass please.
