Renderosity would not be what it is now if it wasn't for-- not only our members-- but also our staff.

Staff Spotlight for September is: darknewt

darknewt is one of our Moderators here at Renderosity and is very understanding and passionate about his role as a Moderator. We are so very happy to have him on our team as he certainly is a great asset to not only the team but to the Community as a whole.

Please tell us a little about yourself:

I see you've been a member for 15 years; What introduced you to Renderosity?

15 Years ago I was looking at art mags and thought I would love to be able to do something. So I took an art class and did some drawing then I found Renderosity. I loved it. From there I started using Bryce/Mojoworld/Poser. I have been doing art off and on since then. I don't post everything I do but I lately I have been trying to do something creative once a week.

How long have you been creating art?

I think it's been about 15 years now. I love it just as much today as the day I started.

What is your favorite work of art you created?

I think i like doing 3d horror/horror-comedy the best specifically around Halloween. So today my entry to last years contest is my current favorite.

What advice would you give to members who are just getting started with Renderosity?

My advise is to find some artists that inspire you then look at the tutorials on Renderosity to see if you can figure out how the image was created. Also don't be afraid to ask if you can't figure something out. Fellow members can be very helpful.

What do you enjoy most about being a Renderosity Staff member?

I like being a member of a community so working with other staff members provides me with that sense of belonging.

Is there anything you would like to share with us that we may not know about you?

In my off time I like sailing and traveling.
