Renderosity would not be what it is now if it wasn't for-- not only our members-- but also our staff.
Every month we will be spotlighting a member of staff that is performing to the best of their abilities and someone who goes above and beyond for the community.
Staff Spotlight for August is: Boni
Boni is one of our Moderators and has been a member of Renderosity since the very beginning. She is always ready to jump in and help wherever and whenever she can. We are very thankful to have her not only as a part of our team but also as a valued member of Renderosity.
Please tell us a little about yourself:
We know you've been a member for 17 years; What introduced you to Renderosity?
I started using Poser and Bryce in the mid to late 90's. One of the first forums I found was the Poser Forum Online as it evolved one of it's incarnations was here. This became Renderosity from different groups of folks staying and others migrating. I diversified to various groups, and stayed here as well. Glad I did.
How long have you been creating art?
Funny story. My folks use to tell the story of giving me a ballpoint pen and a "rainbow" pad at two years old. I have a visual impairment, and therefore am very near sighted. So as the story goes I started out drawing dogs and feet ... since I was pretty small with short vision. Been drawing ever since.
What is your favorite work of art you created?
My favorite piece of art I have ever done is a pencil portrait I did from a 1913 photo of my great-grandmother on her wedding day, she was 15 at the time. I used five different grades of graphite pencil to create the drawing. Note: I will upload image from another site in a following post
What advice would you give to members who are just getting started with Renderosity?
The advice I would give Renderosity members is enjoy yourselves and don't take life too seriously. Have fun. This is a fun place.
What do you enjoy most about being a Renderosity Staff member?
The thing I like the most about being a staff member is the community spirit with staff and members. It is great!
Is there anything you would like to share with us that we may not know about you?
I'm not sure what you may not know about me. I have been at artist all my life ... I'm also a musician, having played guitar for about 53 years ... my long-time friend and roommate and I share our home with one new rescue dog, 6 rescue cats and 2 rescue goldfish. I love reading, technology, music of all kinds, long walks with the puppy, watching good movies, and spending time on Renderosity.
