Product Notes

Three scripts to adjust G3F Poses on G8F. Apply a G3F pose to G8F, then, with G8F still selected, run one of these scripts and it will adjust G8F's pose to correct for the difference in G3F's zero T pose and G8F's zero A pose, making G8F adopt the same pose G3F would on using that G3F pose. For normal use, using normal G3F poses on G8F, use 'G3F G8F Pose Adjust - Full', which will adjust both arms and legs. The other two scripts are 'G3F G8F Pose Adjust - Arms', which will only correct the arms, for use after using a G3F upper body or arms only partial pose on G8F; and 'G3F G8F Pose Adjust - Legs', which will only correct the legs, for after using a G3F lower body or legs only partial pose on G8F.

There's only the 3 scripts in the zip file, no FAQs, ReadMes, icons or anything. Unzip and put somewhere in your DAZ Studio My Library (Scripts folder is obvious, but can be anywhere you want). For easy use, use Create Custom Action on the scripts so they'll be in the Scripts menu.

This is great! Thanks for the scripts, it's a good time saver. If you use this product and are having issues this might be the problem. My characters are thick and I have to adjust the rigging to their shape. If you use this script it resets the bones, so adjust the rigging again and everything will be fine. 😄

This script can easily be updated to work for G9 as well, simply change the bone names from the G8 version to the G9 version (r_thigh instead of rThighBend etc)

Sorry. It was an error in my thinking. I was looking for these scripts in the "My Categories" section of CMS. They were not there because I forgot that I first had to manually copy them to there from the "My Daz 3D Library" section of CMS. Whoops.

I have no idea how to access these scripts once placed in my script folder. They do not appear in CMS. I googled "Create Custom Action" and found instructions that seem useless, since these instructions seem to depend on being able to find the scripts in CMS.

thanks for this simple fix. i have never done scripting but did manage to get the reverse G8 to G3 done for myself. (some of the G3 - G8 converters - sadly don't move over the facial or Hand settings so this fixes that surprise.)
