if we have custom colors, can we opt to keep them, because I hate changing them. And normally anymore, when rosity changes colors its something that hurts my eyes (the current one for the page bg is like that)

lydian ( posted at 12:00AM Tue, 18 November 2003

Hellmark, I've found that setting the bg color of r'osity to black looks the best - i agree white hurts my eyes! And i'm very happy that this brown is getting the boot :)

Hellmark ( posted at 12:00AM Tue, 18 November 2003

Also, is there anyway where we can customize all of the colors on the page? Currently, we're limited to link color and the main background, and those of us with eye problems would like to have something that's a bit easier on the eyes at times.

i prefer the neon pinks, purples, and yellows in my preferences. how come neon pink and yellow weren't options? Am I the only one?

Aa I said, that blue is too strong for a background colour. it will influence the perception of the artworks and marketplace images, with the result that the images whose color scheme won't be compatible, will clash. If 99% of the professional art catalogues and galleries choose white, black or grey as their background colour, there IS a reason, for God's sake. I am convinced that many people voted for blue because "oh, it's so cooool!" but didn't really realize the implications - well they will when it'll be implemented and we all will have to do with a blue background for our works - like it or not. Sorry to sound harsh but as I said, this is a big mistake.

While you're at it... can you fix the logo text? One line says "artist community", the other says "artists community" - it should be consistent. If the latter is correct it needs an apostrophe after the s. (I'm pedantic like that.)

Why not make it so we can personalize the color settings? Those who want blue can have blue, those who want gray can have gray, those who want the current color can have the current color, etc.

typeitout68 ( posted at 12:00AM Wed, 19 November 2003

Why cant it be the same light grey/silver that the email newsletter is in? Its neutral so it doenst conflict with artwork, its not too dark, and it matches well with the Renderosity logo.

Hellmark ( posted at 12:00AM Wed, 19 November 2003

Lydian, actually, black backgrounds mess with my eyes any time there's a light color on the page, which is quite frequent here. thats why I have #7c7c7c. Its dark, looks good with black text, but blends in nicely with the colors I can't control.

i am an ocean guy so i vvote blue

TheWingedOne ( posted at 12:00AM Thu, 20 November 2003

Totally agree with the grey-voters. Though blue is my favorite color I voted for grey for the reason mentioned above several time... Like Aaron_of_Minneapolis already suggested why not make it possible to personalize color settings? Pls. think about this option as well.

Thanks, Phil

It is more ethereal than the others. I am glad for the change! How soon till we see it on the pages? Soon I hope.
