I wish I could remember the facts on this.... but there is a story that a renowned orchestra was performing a tribute to one of the great 40's bandleaders (Benny Goodman?). The bandleader was actually at the rehearsal. The notes were played, but the music sounded stiff and stilted. The conductor looked back at the bandleader, who then quietly walked up to the podium. With the stick in his hand, he took one look at the orchestra and said "OK, boys, let's do it again, and this time, BEND IT!". That's what this image reminds me of :)))
