I just wanted to post a quick render with the Girls tonight to say......
Thank You to all my friends here at Rendo for all the wonderful, kind, and encouraging words regarding my little surgical adventure this past week! Your words have been a big part of my recovery, and I have to admit I've been moved to tears more than a time or two. You all absolutely, sincerely ROCK! The Girls and I are grateful beyond words! A special shout-out to Mike (Faemike55) for keeping everyone up to date.
I rendered this on my Velocity laptop as my main Poser machine is in its last throes before expiring completely. It will still boot up, but forget trying to do a render of any size at all. It goes maybe halfway through a render, then the dreaded BSOD appears. I posted a new Behind The Scenes video (link below) where I did a time-lapse of what happens. This machine is 7 years old, and has given me good service, but I think it's time to upgrade..
We had a massive storm roll through last Wednesday. It knocked our power out for around 12 hours - IPL finally got it restored around 02:30 AM Thursday. Of course the storm also took out our cable, phone, and internet... Comcast came out Friday and actually did a great job for once. they ran a whole new service line to my house, and got everything working pretty quickly.
Anyway, before I write a book..... The Girls will be right back in the thick of things! This may have slowed them down a little, but they always come back even more determined than before! Especially now it seems we have some new players stirring the pot...
As always, thanks so much for your visits, comments, and support! You ROCK!
Latest Behind The Scenes More coming soon...
Update: Just got my Mavic back today, and it works great!! Thanks, DJI!

Renderosity health care is far better than the mess going through Congress right now. Are G4 and Arawen available for house calls?
One surgery down, one to go. And then hopefully a Girls' BBQ!
What a temperamental scale, or is it trying to be funny? Needs a firmware update...
You have such amazing props for all your renders my friend, AR & G4 lol marvelous in their scrubs. Best of all glad your doing ok and have your power back. Hope your lap can do the T.N.A. series until you get a new unit. Again love your image my friend. Happy mums day.
Here's medical team, the nurses team is back at the room to help you recover... or you may end up coming back soon than expected... no not really, the girls will take good care of you, I'll be seeing to that, that is it may be me that will be needing to see the doc's...
good to hear it all went well, and saw the clip, looks like it's time for a new one...and you know you gave me an idea for scrip of the short story of " in the OR..." " Who's happy to go to surgery?" have a good one...
Great image! I see you have the same OR as my Dr. Know has. He's a real good, smart, humane and personal surgeon. He has a bad guy in town, Dr.Q(uack) whose passion is experimenting on patients:head_bandage:. If they survive they wind up in Dr. Know's surgery . But more about them later. It's been a pleasure to buoy you up during this time. So irritating with that storm messing things up, but as you said, service people were great this time. Hope you get all the files on your expiring hard drive backed up before the drive dies. With all the work on your computer room I sincerely hope you can keep going without further mishaps! Keep up the good work!
Oh......... yeah now I see why you wanted that done!! So, have they been in for your .....erm sponge bath lately?
Nice work!! Love their expressions
Oh, I know all too well about the storms !! We had a rather bad one come through last week. EF2 tornado touched down in the town near where I live lots of buildings with missing roofs! We kept getting condensation in the box every time it rained, but windstream finally cleared that up! Glad you are up and operational lol so to speak!!
Stay Calm and Render On!!
With them there you had nothing to worry about Rod ! Splendid render. They look great :). Hope you are giving yourself some rest or I will have to talk to the girls to make sure they make you rest ;). Need that after the surgery. Take good care of yourself.
Well I'm at nearly an hour here, and I've only done 7 images! (But I do dive in.) I'm really happy you got through your operation with such flying colors, and were up and back to work so quickly. (When I read that in Tara's gallery---or Mike's---I couldn't believe how quickly you got your strength.) Great image, love your transposition of two of your beautiful models into medical garb, with all that stuff around them. (More of your detail in the background, where we want to see everything.) I've been doing musical mixing in the computer, which brought me back to my physical mixing days (with those huge mixing boards, processors, etc); so when I saw this, I kept thinking of those mixing boards. I guess these medical gizmos are 'processors', in a way. Great job with the women, they look great here, and they're congratulating you on your recovery. It was great to see all your fans pour out for you; to those who don't comment, it's their loss: You have real loyalty and love here. And I'm thrilled you got back on your feet so quickly, Rod. It was great news for us all!
I have to stop now, so I can get to other artists before another day is up. But it's been great to comment here again, even if I don't cover enough images...great to walk in your consummate world. If I mess with one of the machines, here, will you get up and dance? Lol---that would be powerful stuff, wouldn't it! I wish you great health as you move ever closer to your retirement. And I hope to be back here soon. So happy your operation was a success!
