Description

When I'm sick sometimes, I look to those who're struggling and am reminded that they're moving through straits much worse than mine. And if they continue to share light and so much love, I get courage to start over. Lars---LBJ2 on RR (here)---is such a person. Lars is so 'basic' to this place. He's been so loving, so inspiring to people who were 'institutions' here, and continues with so many others to this day. Those of you who've known Lars know: He garners a very special love and affection. Lars is facing major surgery this month. He's discussed it with astonishing candor here. He's posted a few images that sear in their depiction of his disease---cancer---and still fills them with light and beauty. After so many visions, here, of flowers in the sky, of flying souls and sensual curtains made of clouds and lights, and all his humor and play, he couldn't do otherwise: He still shines. Those of you who know him, you'll agree: Lars has a spark of the divine. While I don't know you very well, Lars, I can tell you you are dear and precious. To me and to many others. And so I send all the power in my heart, that your surgery put you on the path to healing, and my prayer that all the hearts who've known you here and elsewhere, shine on you and carry you with warmth, love and protection. Mark, this is a truly epic dedication for Lars. I'm so glad you finally got to know him a bit as he is a blessing to so many here. Lars has always been able to express himself in such a manner as is able to touch almost all who view his work. My belief is he pours so much of himself into his art, and puts so much thought into the theme for each image he creates. Very nicely done, and so glad there are so many here keeping him in their prayers.

Your image for Lars is Light and Strenght, Mark, with a great spiritual feeling. A truly vision of hope!! I didnt knew him till now, but after read you and seeing some of his work ( thank you for pointing ) i think that he has a strong inner power and I truly hope that the surgery help him, in this combat and he can go through the illness as a winner!
