Interview with GrandmaT

When did you join Renderosity?
GrandmaT: October 23, 2008
What brought you to Renderosity?
GrandmaT: In 2008 I found a copy of Poser 6 and got the bug again. I discovered there were sites online that supported this art form and, finally having a decent access to the Internet, I went in search of the suggested sites. When I found Renderosity, I knew I had found a place that supported artist of all kinds and satisfied my needs for quality products in both the Marketplace and the Freestuff.
How long have you been creating art?
GrandmaT: I always wanted to draw as a kid but didn’t have much talent. When Poser 2 came out in the late ‘90s, I was thrilled. I could finally make images that didn't require me to be able to draw.
What software(s) do you use the most?
GrandmaT: I am currently using Poser 10. I figured out Photoshop enough to do a little post-work and occasionally compose images.
How do you feel your art defines you?
GrandmaT: Working in Poser is a major release for me. It relieves boredom. It helps me deal with stressful times. It allows me to express feelings and share them with others. It challenges me to push my brain to learn things to make each image a little better than the last one. Thanks to the wonderful friends here I've been helped a lot in that respect.
Out of all the art you have created, do you have a favorite?
GrandmaT: Tough one to answer. I enjoy making my family images and the ones with the High School kids and the adventurous siblings. The 50 Shades/dynamic set was a challenge and looking back I'm very proud of them. But I have to say the Ballet ones are my favorites because I created the poses for each of them from scratch.
Pose #10 from the first set:

and pose #1 from set 2 are probably top of my list.

Is there something you'd like to share with us that we may not know?
GrandmaT: Most everyone knows I'm 64 and have four grandchildren. I love to travel, hate cold weather and housework, know the rudiments of adjusting the action in a piano (can't play one though), can build a house from the ground up, can change a tire all by myself, have ALMOST figured out my dumb cell phone and have only one degree of separation from Kevin Bacon. I also make a mean apple pie.
