LA ACM SIGGRAPH Presents:Â "Computer Animation Festival highlights from SIGGRAPH Asia/Seoul"
Los Angeles, California, USA--January 17, 2012 - The Los Angeles Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH (LA ACM SIGGRAPH), Â the Korean Film Council and the Korean Cultural Center will host a one night only event showcasing the best of SIGGRAPH Asia/Seoul, on Wednesday, January 25th.
The Korean Cultural Center and the Korean Film Council are throwing open their doors to the Computer Graphics community for a screening of the highlights of the Computer Animation Festival (CAF) from SIGGRAPH Asia/Seoul originally screened in 2010 at the SIGGRAPH Asia Conference. Â This event marks several firsts; the first time SIGGRAPH Asia was hosted by the City of Seoul was in 2010. Additionally, this prestiegeous screening will mark the first time LA Â ACM SIGGRAPH has been involved in a CAF screening from SIGGRAPH Asia. Â And this highly anticipated co-hosting with The Korean Cultural Center and the Korean Film Council is a first for LA ACM SIGGRAPH. Highlights of this screening will be award winners; "Poppy" which earned the Best in Show award, "Civilization V" named Best Technical Piece, and "Loom" chosen as the Best Student Project.

Admittance is free to Members of LA ACM SIGGRAPH. Â Membership
to LA ACM SIGGRAPH is open to all individuals interested in
Computer Graphics. Non-Members of LA ACM SIGGRAPH are admitted for
$ 20.00. New LA ACM SIGGRAPH Members who sign up on-site, and pay
the $ 40.00 annual Membership fee (checks or cash only), are
admitted free of additional charge.

Located at 5505 Wilshire Blvd., in the Miracle Mile District, the
Korean Cultural Center is the axis of Korean heritage in Los
Angeles. The Korean Cultural Center welcomes the general public to
